Please suggest some good TV,

Really confused among

1. Android LED TV or
2. Smart LED TV or
3. some normal LED TV + buying separate Firestick/ STB.

Which will be a good option nowadays..

Be more specific with your budget, display size and your requirement.

Budget- around 15 – 30 k, not a main constraint though.
Big size from 40/ 43’

Don’t know much about TV nowadays, using old CRT TV.

Also, planning to get Jio fiber 399, to use ott & live TV, not sure if it can replace STB/dth

Android TVs come with Android Playstore. Just like the Android in mobiles. Can easily sideload apps and other things.

Non-Android Smart TVs are linux based, TV brand apps will be there. Limited selection. and limited customisation options. Sideloading is also not possible I think.

So, you should buy Android TV only.

Coming to the second doubt – Android TV or Non-smart with Android sticks. Well, in my opinion, the price difference wont be drastic between the two. So better to get the Android TV, it will be more than sufficient. And you could always use any other android stick with it. But once you buy a non-smart TV, you wont be able to use it with internet without the Android stick.

So, better to get Android TV and then use it as it is, or use any other sticks.

Coming to the third doubt. In that 30k budget, you could get 55 inch 4K TV. So if space is no constraint, I would advise you to go for the 55 inch ones, instead of 40/43 inch. The bigger, the better.

As far as brands are concerned, I have had good experience with iffalcon by TCL. VU also gets good reviews. Contrasting reviews for MI. Motorola and Marq and all those rebranded ones, I wouldnt go for them.

So get, any of iffalcon or VU or MI after going through the reviews. Make sure to get extended warranty.

Among 4k and fhd Android TV ,

For seeing TV channels,
Will it be ok to use HD cable STB or HD dth STB connection in a 4k TV.

How will be the picture quality when seeing normal or HD TV channels in 4k vs fhd TV’s.

Coming to OTT apps, can we play fhd content in 4k TV.

Yeah, 4K TV would be good with both cable and OTT apps. You can play FHD as well with good viewing. No issues as such. 4K content is still limited.
