Tablet or Laptop?

Hi, I am confused between buying a laptop or a tablet for my dad. My dad will only use his laptop for trading purposes (stock markets via Sharekhan, Indiabulls etc). I'm wondering if the latest stock market charts can be seen on Android tablets? I use a Blackberry and hence I don't know anything about Android. In my Blackberry I use bloomberg and the stock indices are very delayed in it. I am very keen on buying a tablet because it will be very convenient and something new. But can't figure out if my dad will be able to do trading with the tablet. Please help. Thanks.
