Saw in a Instagram reel that we can pay taxes using credit cards
And by using axis vistara cards If I pay 10lakh of tax I would get the following benefits
1) 5 business class tickets
2) 6 economy class ticket
3) some vistara points

Last year i paid 15l tax
This year i will be paying around the same amount

Experts please suggest me is this the best card to get ? Or there is any other card which will be beneficial for me for the tax transaction

Thanks

Not applicable in tds, only for taxes paid while filing itr or advance tax etc.. And soon enough credit cards will disable reward points for govt payment/tax payments etc.

You no longer get reward points for such transactions (except on idfc wealth card). Such amount is only counted towards milestone benefits or renewal benefits.

Axis vistara card is a milestone based card so I guess it will work there 🤔

To salaried folks: Is it possible that I pay advance tax directly, and not have my employer deduct tax on my salary ? Basically what I am thinking is that instead of my employer deducting tax directly from my salary, can I pay it directly on the tax portal (via CC obviously XD) and report to them that I have paid it, so that they don't deduct the same.

Probably no, your employer is liable to deduct TDS based on your salary.

Axis Ace 2% and flipkart 1.5% still gives most probably.

None of the Axis cards give. Checked with customer care before making March advance tax payment. Still, the amount was enough to cover the milestone (>1 L/month) and count towards renewal benefit.

Magnus. Infinia has no milestone benefit @ over 1L/month.

Infinia/hdfc cards don't give rp for adv tax /IT payment.

Axis CS lied to you bro. Screenshot from my March beginning Adv tax payment using FK Axis.

You can anytime do a test txn of even 200 rs and check for cashback I guess if you got a month in hand, maybe march might have been a deadline for most.

Why not on tds payment? Could you please elaborate? I have Axis Magnus, and was looking forward to pay TDS as well as Advanced Tax for milestone benefits. Also do we get the normal edge rewards (1.2x) for these transactions?
