Hi Dimers,

It looks like mobile operators are planning a new hike:

The hike is suspected to happen in next 2-3 months. I remember that some Dimers purchased JIo vouchers in advance to beat the inflation.

Is there a better strategy available this time?

Recharge 3 times ₹10 top up in bajaj finserve app and get ₹22 talk time as balance, u'll get cashback of ₹20 so actual cost would be ₹10

So for ₹10 u'll get ₹22 talk time in jio main balance which can be used to recharge any plan later on

for airtel users, particularly those having multiple connections at home, converting to family postpaid is better option. you will continue to enjoy the benefits of same plan even after hike and addl discount on bill via amazon rupay offer or axis airtel card

For Airtel you can do the same recharge afaik.

For Jio, you can do any recharge plan and it goes in queue by default.

For Jio, How does the order of recharged plans get determined in queue.

Is it just by the order of recharge.

How many plans can we queue (I already have a 84 day plan in my queue)

For multiple connections or CUG/corporate use, postpaid plans often worked out better.
Especially since operators delayed the price hikes or hesitated in revising the tariffs for CUG users of postpaid.

Although times are such that nothing can be said in black and white
https://myvi.in/blog/family-plans
but even now, there ARE customers who say that while the operators have gone through tariff revisions twice, they (customers) are still locked on the same tariff which they initially signed up for.

Payment of utility bills still get 7%-8% cashbacks still, if one knows how to get gift-cards/ gift vouchers using various methods.

If one does not want the 'unlimited' plans, then (in prepaid) some operators still give the option for reasonably priced validity recharges with calls, SMS, data charged from the main balance or like in case of BSNL
they offer free calling, SMS for initial 30/60 days in some plans with longer service validity.

usually jio gives 3-7 days to recharge in advance before hikes happens, also airtel starts the price hike always so until that keep accumulating jio balance via bajaj finserv offer and relax, that's the better strategy, accumulate balance at 55% discount via bajaj offer and when times come recharge as many recharge possible with that balance

This time you can just recharge with your best means and enjoy unlimited 5g data till your aur data expires.

Because soon 5g will not be free.

5g penetration is still very low, so atleast jio ain't finishing the offer anytime soon
