No need to recharge.... To keep it active.... My second sim is not recharged for more than a year and it's still active!

I think play store allows you to pay via VI sim balance.... It did it with idea... 4-5 years ago.

No, I ported Airtel to Jio. I forgot to recharge within 3 months, now number gone.

For secondary nos. it's OK. For those linked with bank accounts I would rather not take the risk. Anyways unlike AVOID who disable main balance usage whimsically Jio has proven itself more trustworthy so I keep accumulating balance via FC/AMZ offers etc and later recharge when needed.

Sim should be in device.... It's won't be deactivated..... You should receive at least 1 call or msg every 90 days..... This is applicable for all operators as per TRAI rules!

i found one option in  jio website.. i can raise request there (vi to jio).. but it needs atleast incoming sms support.. bcoz it sends OTP to validate.. is there any way to get this with minimal recharge?

To send PORT SMS you need to need to activate the Rs 99 pack as the bare minimum. No other way out.

second, i found: *199# and select respecitve options.. here i dont see 99 recharge plan.. showing all stupid offers.. talktime offers with no service validity... 😰 wasted 50rs 😌

I have never recharged with the Rs 99 pack myself as it doesn't allow OG SMS excluding PORT SMS. So no use in my nos. regd. with banks and in other nos. SMS isn't required. Just a few days back I recharged Rs 129 pack from main balance by dialling *444*129# in which one can send OG SMS which is charged from main balance. Since *444*99# didn't work for you better inquire with Vi CC if 129 pack can be activated from main balance in your circle or not. Only packs upto Rs 150 can anyways be activated from balance.

yes bro.. i talked to CC.. service validity packs start from 129rs through main balance... we cannot recharge 99rs with main balance... so they are asking me to recharge with 129rs...  now waiting for freecharge offers like FC15, HOLI15 etc.. once i get sufficient balance, will do 129rs recharge and get rid of this stupidity..
