Respected dimers! I'm planning to use Telegram saved messages folder to store thousands of photos since my Gdrive is reaching its 15 GB limit. Is it safe? Kindly share your thoughts. Thanks!

A few days back I came across a GitHub repo which provides an interface and file indexing for using telegram messaging as a personal cloud drive. Maybe you can use that if you're planning for it.

It's safe as long as telegram servers are safe otherwise no

It can be used for temporary basis, but can't replace hard drive storage.

Valuable pictures (sentimental value) should be taken as hard print along with soft backup.

Safe from privacy point? NO

Safe from banning? YES

Telegram itself promotes their unlimited storage i have maybe 500gb+ files uploaded there they didn't ban me or others who uploads tbs

You mean Telegram has a feature wherein, I can upload files to my account from here and thereafter

ask you to logon to the same account elsewhere or myself log in to the same account from anywhere else later and retrieve all the data as it is?
That too for half a terabyte and more?
That is good.

Dear polite Nobita,

Better go with google one plans. Telegram being a IMS, one day or other they may pull the plug on cloud storage or they may charge on par with google.

No it is not safe. Go for proper data backup services. Telegram can limit/delete storage anytime they want like Imgur etc. did.
