So my sister purchased faber hob cooktop & wanted a new indane gas connection
Indane distributor told her a safety inspector would check if third party burner is safe to use
She applied & paid inspection fees & inspector came & said since there's no ISi certification he won't give NOC
So now without purchasing indane burner she can't get a new connection despite having a much more expensive hob cooktop?

She said she'd complain, they said "complain wherever you wish to, we can't give without NOC from safety Inspector"
You have to buy and use ISI certified cooktop /burner only. ISI stamp of equipment and bill is must. Better buy from agency only. And yes it ISI certified equipment is mandatory as per law.
In case you don't know, company provides fire insurance cover in case of mishappening, for that purpose they only allow certified burners as it reduces the possibility of accidents/hazards.
Can you cite the clause of the law you're referring to?
If there is such a law then surely no foreign companies like glen, faber would be able to sell cooktops without isi certification

Go to another agency, no pointing in wasting your own time. easier is to just give bribe for connection and later complaint
Regardless even your stove would be ISI certified, just check where they have added certification
Contact faber CC for isi query.
Not for the gas agency but for your own good/safety. If found deficiency you can sue them🥰
I don't know the exact hierarchical approach towards obtaining new connection in your state 🤔but in ours(maharashtra😍) you simply ask for new connection for cylinder and the agency just issue you without any infection. Providing you pay 200 extra to the cylinder wala for all the procedure 😗😗
Getting new connection through online is even simpler. Try indane website one time.
Bro don't talk about iocl website, applied on 14 Sep & completed full kyc & was given text saying am on a waitlist, post that no further communication.
Would never go for offline application if online was processed
I think everyone should chill out first and behave like adults.
See in helmets ISI mark is mandatory so there is no harm in assuming the same for gas. Since supplying gas is costlier in cylinder and has logistical challenges the goverment is trying and pushing for piped gas and thats where the whole ISI things comes

So i think this is something which is coming up.
Instead of crying like a victim or pointing fingers like why only new and not old customers one should look for solutions .
Why don't you call Faber Helpline for clarification?
Faber was called in front of safety inspector on loudspeaker & they confirmed they don't put isi certification on this range.
That still wasn't enough for inspector who said no isi no NOC
Foreign companies are not mandated to get isi certification as they are governed by international certifications which are not corrupt like india

years back, agency tried to sell stove/cooker/apron.. even for 2nd backup cylinder purchase, I said give me white paper for writing complaint, after a while issued 2nd cylinder without drama.
Complain on Indane portal, they are sort of helping

To yaha is stove ki issue hai.. rating 4 bhi nahi.. kaise le sakta hai koi this is very important to have safety in kitchen.. in house kitchen is main reason of accident.. aur isi certificate nahi to return them or get certificate on paper.. how anyone can sell without isi if it's mandatory.. even all helmets shouldnt allowed sell without isi certificate..

Bharat Gas is also insisting on regular inspection of their connection every 2 years with compulsory pipe change previously it was 5 years

Thers is no such inspection concept to provide lpg connection. Tell distributor that you will complain to Indane Sales Officer(Number will be displayed in their Agency) if they won't release new connection.
