recharge from main balance was restricted earlier. i raised formal complaint in that they replied to wait until 7-feb-24.
i did 179 recharge from main balance today by dialing *199# > recharge> unlimited plan.

I think (in some circles with high churning by customers) even BSNL is giving free 45 days pack offer to the retailers who do daily MNP target of 15-20.
And obviously AVOID and Jio giving 28 days pack free.
I got a number ported to BSNL for 49₹ with the 45 days pack. It is a spare, not used number and last I checked in our own case, BSNL kept it on my relatives name even 7-7½ months after the last active pack was over.
Via retailers, Jio is not offering, but AVOID even offer the 56days pack at 149 or so, for MNP customers.
But yes, idea are the only ones to 😁 try to inflate the count of 'active subscribers', by on and off activating complimentary data packs and temporary validity on others dormant numbers.
For up east circle it worked for 179 recharge by dialing *444*179#

& for Airtel still not working 😑

But good to know.
