vegetable shopkeeper beaten up by congress workers for refusing to give donation

A vegetable shop owner by allegedly beaten up Congress party workers for refusing to contribute to fund collection campaign for party leader Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' in Kollam district of Kerala. The incident was caught on mobile phone camera and circulated on social media.

The party workers also allegedly threatened to kill the shop owner and attacked workers in the shop.

They allegedly threw away the vegetables and created chaos at the shop. The party workers reportedly demanded Rs 2000 but the owner was able to give only 500. The party workers threatened him saying nobody will go alive without giving the amount demanded.
