I recharged for Rs.49 yesterday. I got Rs.38 talk time. I can call and send SMS to any mobile number and the call/SMS charges are deducted from the Rs.38 talk time.
But I cannot send SMS to bank 7 or 6 digit numbers like for e.g. 5676712 or 575750. It says SMS failed. I can SMS to that number from Jio.
Customer service said you need SMS pack. So I added Rs.12 SMS pack. Still the same SMS failed issue.
I am tired of calling the clueless customer service.
Anyone knows what could be the issue?

Yes, I put the SIM back in Redmi and the SMSs don’t go through.

I complained to customer care but no solution

After 24 hours it’s started working without any fix

It’s December 2020, Vodafone give me soecial offer 39rs plan instead of regular 49rs plan with 28 days validity and 38 talktime. After this 39 rs plan, I cannot send SMS to other any number , called customer care they asked customer to recharge one more recharge of 49 to activate message facility on phone. What the hell Vodafone!! I will port to jio, 11 years of vodafone customer, this time pissed off 🤐

All of u stop giving stupid answers

The solution to your problem is u need talktime to send sms to special numbers like 56162, 56161 etc. If u r on unlimited pack or sms pack it will not happen. just recharge with Rs10 talktime pack where u will get around Rs7… Per sms u will be charged Rs3.00 to special number
