It is extremely important to use VPN in India, union government has CMS (Centralized Monitoring System) through which ISPs provide them with real-time data, so they can precisely see what a user is browsing at any given point of time.
Also if you want to watch some documentaries etc let's say from BBC then also you'll require to have VPN.
Using VPN in general all the time is a good idea.
One thing to remember is to ise quality VPN providers, because what's worse than not using a VPN is using a bad VPN.
