I was quite enthusiastic about iQOO's collaboration with BMW and their launch of the iQOO 11 with impressive specs like the 8th-gen +2 processor, a first in India.
However, I tried to overlook the monochromatic funtouch OS, which I found to be rather dull, but I encountered numerous issues:
- An 8 MP ultra-wide camera, compared to the 50 MP ultra-wide angle camera on the 9 Pro.
- Only a 16 MP selfie camera.
- Lack of 4K recording, OIS, or EIS.
- No reverse or wireless charging, unlike the 50W wireless charging on the 9 Pro.
- Absence of a headphone jack.
- Misleading 2K 144 Hz refresh rate.
- No IP rating.
If your budget allows, the iQOO Neo 7 Pro at 33k seems to meet your needs well, with features such as:
- UFS 3.1 storage.
- A vibrant 120 Hz AMOLED display.
- A robust 5000 mAh battery.
- Impressive camera capabilities.
- LPDDR5 RAM.
- A generous 6.78" screen size.
- Note: It lacks NFC functionality.
Given my role as an Enterprise Platforms Support Engineer managing cloud servers for Fortune 500 companies at Concentrix, high-performance smartphones are essential.
It's worth mentioning that iQOO's shift from the Z7 to Z7s involved some downgrades, including moving from the MediaTek 9200 to SD 695. This resulted in the loss of 4K recording and support for 4K or HDR YouTube videos. Also, HDR is absent on Netflix, and in games like BGMI, Z7s offers only "smooth" and "ultra" settings, while Z7 provided "smooth" and "extreme" settings.
A notable concern is the alteration of the Z7 product page on Amazon, showcasing the Z7s but displaying Z7 reviews – a move that some might find misleading.
Considering iQOO's trend of downgrading new versions, it's wise to do your own research and think twice before considering purchasing the Z7 Pro.

Realme, IQOO, OnePlus, OPPO, VIVO all belong to same family similarly Infinix, Intel, & Techno Camon. I have work on all these phone's motherboard all are same design wise, Vivo 12,15,21 U10 have same ditto motherboard, infinix motherboards are little bit delicate but not all only it's entry level phones. Xiaomi motherboard are designed in different factory, PCB quality is OK but they don't focus on heating management of CPU this why XIAOMI phones having dry CPU problem after some use.
