I have WhatsApp on iPhone, backup is in iCloud. Now I want to switch to Android phone, but could not find any solution to transfer WhatsApp backup to Android. Please help. iPhone saves backup to iCloud, while Android can only recover backup from Google drive

Thank. But I need to transfer attachments also. Its very time consuming to backup all images/doc from whatsapp to files as its last 1+ yr messages. I also read some ‘export-email’ option but it did not worked for me

other than third party apps there is no official method that’s why i hate ios

@jileg could not understand? Are you saying migrate from whatsapp to telegram and then telegram to android whatsapp? Is that possible? I will get all chat history with attachments and would be part of same groups?

Did anybody able to use ‘export to email’ option in whatsapp iphone and then restore on whatsapp android? This do not work for me when I restore on android. During restore its not picking backed up files downloaded on android, and just restoring blank whatsapp with groups added

Images/videos/files etc won’t be transferred only text message will be transfered so make sure to backup them.
