What do you use as toilet freshner?

Electric or ceramic diffuser 

Odonil should last at least 30 days. Try just making a small rectangular cut on the cover. Other alternative is trying scented candles.

I use savlon disinfectant spray for fragrance and germs killing.

Keep the  Toilet  clean and Ventilated , and if no natural ventilation  than use small exhaust  fan . No  Freshhers needed than .

Sometimes  i just place 1 - 2 camphor tablets  ,and it lasts easily for a week  Cheaper and best  Alternative

i use odonil zippe, does lost around 15-20 days , depends upon how often toilets is being used

Does your toilet smell . Do you stay in a building  or private bungalow  types . If yes ,check whether toilet gas exit pipe is installed or not .

If all is ok there should be no reason  for use of odonil types unless  just  for  feel good factor which is unnecessary

Exhaust fan will solve your problem to a good extent, but not 100 percent. Then you need to either keep it on always or make sure people switch it on whenever they enter the bathroom. For the latter, you can have the fan connected to the light switch of the bathroom (i.e. common switch for light and fan). People always turn on the light before entering bathroom.

For complete solution and if you prefer to enter a good smelling bathroom, you will need some perfume and the hanging ones are the most effective. But they last only two weeks as you've seen. If you don't cut the entire packet you will not get adequate smell. Offline in housekeeping stores you get other brands like Dyna Fresh at half the price of Odonil Zipper. Get Citrus flavor for best results.

Godrej Aer. Either buy those bottles or pockets. If you want automated solution then the automatic spray which is a little costlier.
