I don’t think Citi offers LTF cards. But the spend threshold for fee waiver is low so it’s not a big deal.

I have the rewards card with an annual fee of 1000 Rs but is waived off on 30000 Rs spends in previous year.

There can be many reasons the application might be rejected and many of these have nothing to do with your cibil score of financial capability, such as address verification, their limited serviceability in your city etc.
Try to call them or send an email and ask for the exact reason why your application was denied. If you do not get a clear response then tweet them on twitter.

However, another thing to add, if you application is rejected now, make sure you only apply min after 6 month from rejection date otherwise you risk rejection again.

initially i was mad for getting citi card because of bank offers in e-commerce and spin and win games offered at forum mall in Bangalore 6 years ago. i applied literally 10times for citi rewards card as my first card and believe me rejected all 10 times. i later taken hdfc creditcard through my salary account. when i swiched my job applied citi card again. this time immediately approved and got it. but i dont see any much offers and reward rate is just 0.20% if u redeem as cash credit to statement. probabilly they will reject if you don’t have any other previous cards. now again they rejecte after 6 years for paytm first card. 

I learnt recently, Citi will not issue cc if you have more than two cc issued by different banks.

You can get SCB card via card to card provide you have not applied for other bank cards in the near past. While city is a different game. The now considered 5 cards as too many card or your DTI ratio is not to their liking.

Not true… I hold cards issued by 4 different banks. And I applied for citi rewards card recently. Had no issues and card was delivered within 15 days.

Too many cards. Ideally Citi should be your 1st or 2nd card account.
Citi think you already have too many options in comparison to the income aka spending power.

I referred a couple of my friends as part of Citibank’s referral scheme and both of them got their cards(and I got referral earnings) easily.
