I think we should follow a template

Some thing like below

Short term debt ( includes Savings account , FD, RD, NSC, post office schemes, basically everything less than 5 years)

Long term debt ( includes PF, ppf, ssy, lic, etc

Real estate

Commodity (gold and others)

Equity direct

Equity MF ( includes NPS)

In my case

Short term debt – 35%
Long term debt – 20%
Real estate – 20%
Commodity – 10%
Equity direct 5%
Equity MF 10%

No loans, have employers health and life insurance.

Nothing, only some FD, PPF and savings account.
Lost most of it in Yes Bank collapse, other stocks colapse, Franklin loss, etc. Family lost house earlier. An agent duped us when we were planning our first international trip many years ago. Now I have accepted that I am financially a panauti.

It all depends on the total disposable income available with you and your priorities which have requirements of funds… Neverthless, for me the break up of my yearly savings is as under:
Equity & other related instruments – 70%
Cash and other liquid instruments – 11%
Debt related instruments (FD, PPF, Pension Funds, Bonds, Debt MF) – 14%
Gold, real estate – 4%
Insurance costs – 1% (Life Coverage 20x yearly income, Medical Coverage 2x yearly income)

sirg if u dont mind then can you share name of these instruments, not asking for any financial advice

Equity & other related instruments
Cash and other liquid instruments
Debt related instruments (Debt MF)
Insurance costs – which planin life coverage?

Wasted money (literally) last 10 years till 2019 by spending abnormally on gadgets (personally as well as gifted phones/tabs/laptops to all my family members). Last 2 years, have started investing but in substantial loss. Invested in crypto around 6 months back and recovering my losses. 1. Real Estate- 60% 2. Shares/Equity- 10% 3. Investment in my fathers company - 20% 3 Crypto- 5% 4. MF- 5%
