Recently i come to know(visited a mill) that there is also a yellow mustard oil available in market (consuming from the past 2-3 months).
Earlier, we used to construct black mustard oil(kachi ghanni).
Yellow doesn’t burn eyes while black does.
As per taste i couldn’t differentiate much ,both tastes same may be it due to my mother recipe which gives best taste regardless of oil (mustard (black/yello), roce bran or desi ghee)
Which oil do u consume black or yellow and why?
Is there any benifit in yellow over black or vice versa?

We have been using Fortune Kachi Ghani Pure Mustard Oil for years.
U sure its pure?
adani oil

See Oil is 100% fat, so no benefit except some small amount of antioxidants or such, but cons(arterial damage and also the progression of heart disease, impairment to our endothelial function) largely out-weight some small pros(which you can easily gets from other natural food).
Fat is also necessary for body.
Using desi sarso k tel
Different variety, but inherently similar properties.
Thus not much difference in edible oil.
But in cuisines where they pore ‘mustard’ on sandwiches etcetera, they have to distinguish between rye and mustard.
(That ‘mustard’ is actually a condiment. It is prepared using various ingredients.)
In India, even filtered oil is confused with traditional ‘cold pressed l’ oil.
So be careful, be it rye or be it mustard.
Just has to be actual 𝘬𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘩𝘪 𝘨𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘪 variant.
from last 5 years buying birani saron(raw mustard) from rajasthan, extrating oils from oil mill shop. 100% pure oil, no palm oil mixing. 100 kg saron will give you 33-35 kg oil, which can be sufficient for a family of 4-5 members for a year.
100% true. One of the my relative has mill. They also buy first grade quality of mustard from Rajasthan and extract the oil from the same. They are getting around 35kg oil from 100kg mustard. Recently i bought 15kh tin from them for 3200 rupees
We use this band only…
If u want to use the purest form available in market then go for Cold-pressed Single-pressed mustard oil.
Its very close to the natural mustard oil.
We keep changing oils between Soyabean, RiceBran, Kacchi Ghani.
The mustard oil is rarely used we’ve shifted to sesame oil. Mustard oil is used when it’s absolutely necessary .
SGR 777’s sesame oil is very good.
I’m curious to hear how many people are aware how mustard oil is actually extracted at an industrial scale.
Why does some mustard oil has sharp pungent smell but most don’t
I know about yellow mustard seeds , we generally use in poojas , but the oils available in market are derived from black mustard , patanjali dhara fortune brands is what we use in winters .
Staying in mumbai so have to buy packaged as no oil mills here .
For the ones who say oil and ghee is not needed for the body , please ask grand parents about having it and its benfits.
And YES oils available in market are LEGALLY adulterated with palm oil nearly 20 % or more since decades
As per govt regulations if u add 20% ingredients of anything then u can name that thing as it as.
Example – u buy til oil (seasame), when u check ingredients it is 20% till and 80% palm and still called till oil and it’s legal.
Fortune , patanjali and other brands do mention the ingredients. , U can check that, as far as i know they mentioned 100% mustard.
Procure pure oil from Village relatives.. that’s best.
We use Engine or Dhara for the past 20 years
Engine oil?🤔
25% locally cold pressed mustard oil, mixed with 75% rice bran oil.

Dear drupal is busy in patanjali bashing here with back to back comment leaving the originality of the thread
Okay guys, let come back to topic black vs yello mustard oil..
Not supporting or going against any brand.
Just wants reviews if u consume or wants to consume.
And benifits if any , black over yellow or yellow over black.
That’s it.
Yes @kartikxxx any other let me know
Many have got final & multiple warnings its time to tell them good byes
This is the brand (mill nearby my locality) got to know recently and got yello mustard oil.
It works both way, either provide ur seeds and get fresh oil in front of u or just directly purchase the oil from them.
It’s a small mill (can say medium but not a large one).
Only benifit i observed so far is, that it doesn’t burn eyes as black mustard oil does.
Not promoting this particular brand as an individual/user i cant say much on quality standards (not an expert).
Though they are fssai certified.
