What's the first stock you have ever bought n why did you buy?
First stock? There are three, Tata global beverages( now Tata Consumers), Ashok Leyland and Nagarjuna fertilizer.
I was a noob then, still a noob now 🙈🐒 but we used Tata Tea a lot. So, the packets used to print Tata Global Beverages on their backside. I had a few options. Tata Global Beverages, Hul n Nestle were the options. Just hear my stupid logic out, Hul used to be around 1140, Nestle was priced at 7200 approx n Tata Global Beverages was priced at 175. My stupid logic said Tata Global Beverages is the cheapest one. I was like Nestle at 7200!!! Omg. I mean for Maggie, Sauce n Coffee they are taking 7200!!! Ridiculous. I wanted to buy Hul too. But I got scared. So, I chose the next best thing available, Tata Global Beverages. It sounded super attractive to me at that time. I am very fond of exotic names so, the name alone contributed 60% psychologically.
I m a big truck fan. The chisss sound their airbrakes make used to give me a lot of imaginations. Two choices were there Ashok Leyland n Tata Motors. In my weird imagination, I could not imagine any trouble for truck industry. I mean, everyone ld buy trucks. Because of lower cost on pocket, I bought Ashok Leyland.
Someone on YouTube was like Fertilizer, Chemicals. Nagarjuna was around 16 most probably.
So, what are your first ever stocks you have bought n what were you thinking while buying them?

I entered stock market in Jan 2018 when market was at its peak. Bought my first stock Tata steel at maybe 720. Went down down. Averaged later and average price became about 560. Sold last month at 713.

First stock that I bought myself was Vakrangee when I didn’t knew anything about stock market.
Bought due to TV recommendation 
My first stocks were Vakrangee & PC Jewellers and my reasoning was that since it has fallen so much, it should claim back.
Did make good money in Vakrangee as bought at around 24 and sold @ 35/- but lost a lot with PCJ as bought @ 92 and ended up selling around 50..

Apparently, my uncle who was bank manager lost a good chunk of money decades ago and became very depressed. So she doesn’t want that to happen again… Tho I want to invest a little amount around 5-10k. To get a feel and not lose too much as a noob in this field.

olectra green tech bought at 132 and sold today at 172.
The reason I sold olectra because markets are going to crash. Will purchase olectra again once it reaches 130. Will it reaches 132?

Infosys bought on oct 2020. Reason can be guessed easily.
SBI in March 2020, now at around 128+ %. It’s a long term investment 😂😂😂😂
I had bought Tata Steel @ 540, TVS motors @ 535, SBI @ 250, Ashok Leyland @100, IOC @ 150 & ITC @ 160. Bought all based on tv recommendations 2-3 years back. Sold everything (except last 2) recently.

I started investing in stock market only in May last year. The first two that I purchased (both on same day) were: ICICI Bank and Ashok Leyland. I didn’t know much about markets then (still don’t know much to be honest), but I felt there’d be a strong upside potential for ICICI; and Ashok Leyland too seemed really undervalued (~48 per share).
