Genuine online platforms are always suggestible for big or small ticket size purchase.
As you have mentioned about AC, since no working demo is available at offline store , online purchase can made only after price and specs comparison.
Installation and accessories from company are at inflated prices, also warranty depends on it.
Don't indulge in local installation and accessories until or unless you are aware of warranty terms and quality of products.
Nowadays most offline stores match the online prices, so compare and purchase accordingly.
Otherwise, no issues purchasing branded things online. Many times some loot deals are coming only on online platforms which helps save a lot of money.

Jeeves charged in excess of Rs 3000 for LG split AC installation last year. Didn't give any bill and since my father had paid in cash and so there was no documentary record Flipkart CC expressed it's inability to help in anyway. A few days prior a dimer had mentioned that LG service guys charged him under 2k (reportedly if you arrange the bracket from the local market then there can be a substantial reduction as even the brand charges are higher for the same though nowhere as high as effing Jeeves which quoted Rs 1250 for the same). I had gone through the same thread where some other dimers had mentioned to avoid Jeeves but I still fell victim to their dirty tactics. Call the brand and ask them to get the AC installed.
