I have seen so much promotion of different brands like myprotein /muscleblaze /blah blah which encourages youth specially men to take whey protein as it is a lean protein to gain good physique and what not .

I would request fellow dimers to spare two minutes of their quality time to share their experiences .

some of my follow up questions

1. Is it good to take whey protein if it is, then how when and which one to take

2. What are the effects of it in long run

3. Things one should consider or take care of while having it

4 . What are the supplementary requirements like sleep food stress management  one should have with it

looking for some honest unbiased opinions.

I had only consumed 1.5 kgs of whey protein over the last 18 months or so and there’s a noticeable improvement in lean muscle mass. Alongside significantly increased consumption of proteinaceous food items so…

1. Is it good to take whey protein if it is, then how when and which one to take

whey is made from milk so yes it is good.take concentrate if u are average joe, hydro if u are a pro. avoid desi brands. go for on or optimum etc.

2. What are the effects of it in long run

do regular workout and keep urself hydrated and it will be fine.

3. Things one should consider or take care of while having it

point 2

4 . What are the supplementary requirements like sleep food stress management one should have with it

if you are a pro then there are thousands of other supplements. considering you are on dd and that you are not a pro stick with whey

There were many body builders in India with six pack abs before whey protein was sold for the first time in India. They used to eat chanaas and make musculus body.

Whey protein is all marketing gimmick. It might be good in USA and European countries but I am not sure about India. In India anyone can sell anything under FSSAI certification. Indian agencies know about all about this bad malpractices. They care only about money and start minting money from these unethical companies. My cousin took 1 kg of whey protein (don’t know the brand) and now he is suffering from ulcerative colitis (it is non treatable disease, doctors and scientists haven’t found any medicine for this disease yet. In this disease a person bleeds through anus and has to go to toilet more than 10 times a day.)

So it’s better to stay away from such poisonous things in India and better eat peanuts, egg whites, chanaas, fish, chicken, cheese, lentils, etc

Easy way to get protein. Usually take around 30g a day. Exercise atleast 40 minutes and stay hydrated. Sure you can get protein for other sources too, but just for this 30g a lot of time , effort and money will be required. If you have that ,go for it. You just have to complete your protein intake , you can follow either path

nopes. Whey protein is consumed by Olympic athletes n special forces personnel. It’s one of the purest form of proteins available for consumption.

Causes for Ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, irritable bowel syndrome are not known to medicine yet. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/....

Let’s understand the difference between synthetic/extracted protein vs natural protein. Almost everything (living substance) available naturally is made up of proteins. If we talk about dietary protein then we ll subdivide the category into two protein supplements n protein rich foods. Protein rich foods give the necessary protein required for human beings. Protein supplements are taken when one’s diet lacks necessary protein, one can’t process n absorb protein, one who seeks optimum human performance, cancer patients etc.

Whey protein is the purest form of protein available to non vegan people for consumption. It’s easily digested by human beings (those without lactose intolerance).

Which ones to buy! Those who don’t adulterate the protein with cheap protein like peanut protein. Those who give details about the source of milk used. 🙂🙂🙂🙂

That was the first ever protein supplement that I had tried. Didn’t experience any issue.

Lot of adulterated whey protein is available in the market. Make sure you buy Optimum Nutrition one which is the best and then scratch and enter the number in their website to verify the genuineness. If someone is visiting from abroad, then better to ask them to buy few boxes (much cheaper outside India and genuine product available)

Ask your cousin to consult in National Ayurvedic Center in Delhi (exact name not sure).
One of my friend got treated there successfully for same condition.
