China market has the best and cheap android boxes but currently we cannot import android box from China.
So do you guys know which is the best and cheap Android Box we can buy in India. I am looking for 4GB ram model.

Mi box is the best bet..
But mi stopped it’s production..
But u can still enquire in the nearest mi store.. or any multi-brand mobile store..
Or u can consider motorola tv box..
The 2gb ram in both these boxes can make a good difference..

I have identified few boxes.
1) H96 Max H616 4GB RAM 32GB ROM – Rs. 2520
2) X88 Pro 10 RK3318 4GB RAM 32GB ROM – Rs. 2900
3) Tanix TX6s Allwinner H616 4GB RAM 64GB ROM – 2600
I personally bought firestick 2021 for 2100 during prime days..
No regrets as of now..
There are no Android boxes with 4GB RAM ( Android/Google TV )
Max you can get 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM variants
You can get imported boxes w/ Android (Mobile version) at 1.5/2x price compared to AliExpress but they’re worthless for Online streaming ( No Widevine L1 >> No HD Streaming )
Mi box is very costly given its specification.
I am buying android box for my family for JioTV, Youtube, Voot, sonyliv, hotstar,etc…..Widevine doesn’t matter….I am planning to buy 4GB box from bangood.
My last box from China for 2800 (2GB model, 4k, No widewine L1) worked for exact 4 years….It was working very well but I messed it up by doing factory reset and many more things and it has been bricked now.
As said by others get hold of mi box some how,it’s the best which has official android tv os and 4k support/suport for some ports too
it is costly dude otherwise I would have bought that. for 3700 they are providing 2gb RAM box 8GB ROM and android 6.0 which will be bad for long run while chinese android boxes are giving android 10.0 11.0 , 4GB ram, 4K support at just 2600 and they work for more than 4 years.
What about Airtel Xstream?
Someone please tell how’s that if monthly charges is not an issue.
Mi box don’t give 5.1 channel audio output

I’m using Mi box from past 1 year, no issues. It’s working fine for youtube, hotstar, zee5, Amazon and Aha.
Did your old box have the orientation problem. I guess not. So its a problem with the new box.
Can you root the box? If so, try with the following build.prop settings and then use a rotation app to force it to landscape.
persist.sys.app.rotation=middle_port
persist.sys.app.rotation=force_land
ro.sf.hwrotation=0

I never had orientation problem in my old box earlier. I also had orientation app installed in it. It’s just recently it started having orientation problem for few apps like zee5 and voot. To solve the problem I did Factory Reset. This is were I messed up my old box to solve portrait problem and I had to order new box. Later I flashed a ROM in my old box. It is working fine but there is portrait issue in many apps.

4 gb is not needed unless you want to do gaming and all

I’m thinking of Fire stick (would be available <3k in sale + can have option to connect USB via splitter)

Or should I go for other android box (considering specs they offer are better) but again my use would be for home theatre so what would be wise decision stay local with fire stick/ Mi Box or not
If mi box and firestick comes available for similar prices.. it’s wise to choose mi box..
As per reviews the wifi router needs to be closer to mi box to avoid frequent disconnection..
My firestick 2021 catches 5ghz easily from first floor to ground floor..
airtel xstream box is really good with good hardware n can b used without recharge ..
