why icici not onboarding new customers?

I tried to open an online savings account but the page is saying please visit branch..so I visited branch last week and a week before that, they said they have received instructions not to open any new account
Is there anything going on with icici? Looks phishy to me

No it is just normal due to the non existence of rapport between online dept and branch.
It is normal as branch phakars dont like online stuff as that makes them worthless.
