Why Investors lose money in Stock Market ?

-Exit in panic

-Buying penny stocks

-Late entry in stocks (FOMO)

-Following advice on SMS/WhatsApp

-Repeated averaging when stock goes down

-Misconception: stock is cheap if it is below 100

-And stock is costly if it is 1000+

For any job/profession, there is minimum qualification like graduation, PG etc. but in stock market, they think that no education/study is required and we can earn money from first day. That’s the major reason they face losses.

In any market people will lose money and that’s called economics, in economics not everyone will make money, someone will lose and some will make.

This type of post is major cause if people to lose money. I seen people loosing money by not selling stock when it’s falling, and people making money in penny stock. So no advice is perfect, that all depends on your luck and decission etc.. Keep yourself away from these type of post and always usage your intelligence and experience, and keep on learning.

And there is saying — “If stock market experts were so expert, they would be buying stock, not telling advice.”

And to add, in stock 90% people lose money and that’s statistics.

because trading is hard , investing is easy

& investing takes patience , good stock only gives good interest income like double in 3-4 years

& trading is risky but in that game can be earned in one day , this greed is only the reason for all the loosess sunglasses

The most sensible post here in this thread. Investing in market is not science but rather art(+luck) so just by learning all the fundamentals & techniques it is not like you will become a Picasso.

Investors never lose money in the stock markets as they put money in a stock considering the business’s fundamentals. They know when to exit or how long to hold a particular business / stock and know the correct price at which they enter into a stock. They very well know how to control their greed and fear. They simply run a business understanding the risks and returns associated with such business.

The ones who lose money in the stock markets are novices / gamblers. Hence, according to me, everyone putting their money in the stock market is not to be considered as an investor. It’s like calling everyone who holds a paint brush in his hand, a Picasso or Da Vinci.

Investors because they don’t know how great 15-20% CAGR is over the long term, which one can get by only being sensible and patient (such as holding a good active/passive fund). So they try to do better by becoming overactive and it backfires.

Traders because they don’t realise that it takes a lot of hard work combined with patience and a fair bit of luck to succeed.
