i still use xp with side loaded zorin os. good things never die.
Instead of windows Xp source code it’s better to concentrate more on linux ( unix ) kernel development which source code is IMO way too flexible and robust than windows
only bad is most applications doesnt work on linux. if devs can, android apps can work on linux and will be game changer. but big daddy google won’t allow.
@guest_999, I did not like windows 8.
I had to install a menu bar for windows 8 just like windows 7
I am not sure about others
But, I do not like image views, I like list views where i can see a lot of items in a single screen.
This is one of the primary reason i do not like most of the google apps ui, be it drive, assistant, keep etc.
Many people use classic shell & its successor open-shell on win 8.1/10 but I rarely use start menu so didn’t matter much to me(I pin often used program to taskbar & jumplists). Image view/list view is customizable so not sure what you mean because I always set a folder with many files to list view in whatever version of windows I use/used.
