Hello,
I have CIBIL score of 818 / 900 and I have payment ontime without zero arrear. I have applied for IDFC First, Airtel Axis Credit card, they have mentioned that they cannot process the request this time. I mean it is one of rejections, Need to know the reason. I have HSBC, ICICI, Amazon ICICI, IndusInd, Citibank cards and all payments are ontime without delay.
Need to know the reason of not approving of this cards. Any suggestions pls..

CIBIL score is not sole requirement, they have their own internal policy for customers already holding multiple cards.
don't waste your time about reason for rejection, even if you escalate your complaint to pno or headservice, the reply will still be same that it was due to banks internal policy..
even if you raise complaint to rbi ombudsman the reply will still be same that due to banks internal policies..
just make sure not much credit enquires in last 6 months and not a single enquiry in last month then apply again..
sometimes they reject because of too much enquiries ( not always the case), or it may be due to negative physical verification..
just don't apply any new cards now and wait some months, then apply
Best advice. Too much inquiry is foremost reason for rejection.
I’m applying every 6 months and so far no cc has been rejected for me. Fingers crossed.
Cibil was 803 when applied Axis card and got approved like a breeze.
CIBIL score of 818 ? Proof please XD
Bhai kounsey credit card company sey ho?
Same time applied SCB card and it is approved and received the card today, but this is not the case in AIRTEL AXIS bank or IDFC First card. Even I am Airtel Black stream broadband customer since 7 years... I am not sure why they have rejected, next time they have to come and ask for Cc until I am blocking(ie) not going to apply any of the credit cards.. I am using Cc is just to get discounts, I am enjoying with ICICI Cc far though...
My father's application for SBI CB card early this year was rejected with the reason being "internal policy" or something despite holding a salary account with SBI for ~35 years. I thought it was because his age had crossed 65 years and/or retired. But months later SBI Cards sent an email suggesting to get a secured CC. Almost 2 decades back he had an SBI CC which was closed within a year with zero usage. First CC application ever since. No issues with getting CCs from Axis, HDFC etc. despite holding accs. for far less duration.
Escalate to the nodal officer and ask for rejection reason, they will most probably tell you that if not escalate to primary nodal then circle nodal officer. More power to you.
