Xiaomi launches mobile payment solution Mi Pay UPI app in India; Mi Pay 2.0:

Mi Pay App Arrives With Latest MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM. Xiaomi claimed that the service would be available to all MIUI 10 users shortly.

The app allows for UPI transactions, and doesn’t list any rewards or promotions just yet.
The Mi Pay app is still in testing and it may bring rewards and promotions once it’s live for commercial usage.
The app is available only for Indian users, and the Mi Pay APK is available for download for all those who wish to give it a try.

When Xiaomi had launched the service last year, Xiaomi said that Mi Pay in India will enable transactions using the UPI PIN and the virtual payments address (VPA). It will let users make payments by scanning QR codes, including Bharat QR codes. The platform will also generate personal static and dynamic QR codes to receive payments from other users via UPI. Further, you can link or unlink your bank accounts at any time, manage your bank account, and check the current balance in your account directly from the platform. There will also be an option to modify or reset the UPI PIN for your bank account.

And how would NPCI & RBI ensure that Xiaomi won’t take data outside. By building 13 feet high and 5 feet thick concrete wall around the facility? rolleyes

All local data servers are not connected to outside India.

Ask NPCI & RBI and search on google, how data localization work.

jaise apne family or relatives pe trust krte ho waise apne country, apne army, govt, intelligence agencies pe trust rakho. they will do their best.

same waise badi corporation companies k bhi wohi ha, data localization se 100% hum data rok nhi skte ha but yes 98% or 99% toh kar skte ha na.

Although the sharer is legit, I would still advice against downloading any APKs unless it’s from the official brand on Google Play.

And why would anyone use mi pay when bank official app has UPI service and bhim is here as dedicated UPI payment app. I don’t get logic of giving multiple app chance to steal your financial data. It’s stupidity at its best.

because govt app & banks can’t expand UPI service to every online & offline merchants.

also UPI 2.0 now support International transaction too.

within next few years, you can use your UPI payment on International websites & also UPI will launch in other countries.

Already 30 western countries approach NPCI to launch UPI service.

Yeah but I simply wanted to know logic of using mi pay over bank official app or npci official UPI app. I don’t understand it at all.
