From few days we were discussing internally but we would like to have Dimer’s opinion as well.
Do you think now we should promote deals (FPDs) without manufacture warranty.
Or products which are imported and have no warranty
Or products with seller warranty.
As there are many deals which are good and where there is no warranty mention and due to which we are not promoting such deals and may be many Dimers might be missing out on it.
Deals from International stores like Aliexpress, Amazon.com, Amazon Global Store in Amazon, eBay, etc will have more exposure.
We can always use deal wiki to mention about product’s warranty part.
Do share your views, and we have created poll as well.

Say yes and support the efforts of deal posters and let buyers decide whether they want to buy a product even without warranty
For electronics, no deal without manufacturer warranty should be promoted.
Also cosmetics and food items with suspicion of being fake should not be promoted
Never.
Some dimmers may buy seeing its a loot but at the end it may be a loot by seller and not by us.
No
There is no issue promoting 2-3 these types of deals on home page. Just mention warranty info.
PS many sites doing same are they are on top
Edit
Yes, definitely lot of people will buy
If you want to turn desidime into some odd lot site, go ahead, promote all such deals
I believe when you promote a deal, dimers, users place trust into it & buy without hesitation
You have seen backlash for sabkadukaan & zingoy flipkart fiasco, so avoid promoting such deals where there is risk of buyer loosing in long term
At times we don’t bother to check who the seller is if it’s a fpd buy
Be vigilant at your end to minimize risk taking at users end
A product deal on fpd is like go go so don’t promote something which may not yield proper service
My suggestion is yes dd should promote such deals hving huge discount but with alwys a tag or headline ie Risky deal..with such tag/headline, dimer will clearly knw that ,that particular deal is risky nd hv high chances of cancellation/ or other prob nd dd just shared that deal as an info, not recommending it.
All dimers should decide themselves , they want to take risk or not.
I m saying so bcoz we/dd admins cant differentiate between less risky/more risky as such deals totally depends on seller nd buyer’s luck….so better add the headline RISKY DEAL.thats it
Yes, but it should be mention on desidime page with big and bold red color, so user knows that before going on actual deal page.
Amazing , So fake ids are being used for positive review, No idea who they are.
Some were created yesterday and some had not atall posted even though old Id and giving “Go ahead”.

Survey or opinion poll has two modus operandi
One for purely taking feedback & accordingly infer & implement
Another one is to spread awareness of forthcoming move, gain acceptance
If a lie is spoken several times it is considered truth
.
If a newbie just comes to post on this thread it shows what’s the intention
I get feeling of attitude :
we will do whatever we wish to
come with us else take bus
Or my way or highway
Yes, should have such deals listed. But many of such deals have warranty information no so clearly mentioned on their pages so chances of individual to miss it or not to find it. Sometimes verbiage is also very confusing
So I would suggest the deal description itself should start with stating it clearly. E.g.
[NoMfdWrnty] Sony 50" Inch……
OR
[NMW] Sony 50" Inch……
noppp its not go really i dont agreed this by the warrented and i have no cents soooooooooooooiooioooooooiiooioo bed
No and yes.. keep a loot percent. Let’s say 40% loot .. then yes. No manufacturer warranty is acceptable. Otherwise shop clues will rock all deals as most of it r Chinese stocks
Yes why not
If they are super cheap and are from a reliable website
yes, especially from ebay we get good deals with out warranty, but some risk involved… its upto the buyer to go for it not …
No
Yes with mark NO MANUFACTUR warranty
There was a news that government has imposed a tax of 40% on every orders from global e-commerce sites. Things like this should be considered. Also many people don’t have credit cards for payment on global stores.
Yes
Na from My side .
Surely but just mention that no company warranty or so , also some kind of rating of seller and store would be helpfull . Great initiative . Keep this up
No we should not promote just for the sake of price (obviously in most cases).
Better to avoid such posts no matter how tempting it can be.
I have had two big eBay store in last and have had sold more then 2000 iPhone 5S some links were posted on forums also.
My opinion would be not posting any seller warranty or non manufacturer warranty item on deals as in the long run the customer experience would be bitter and that would hurt DD brand value.
Rest is upto the dimers to decide.
can create a separate section for such deals like fpd – popular – flipkart section – amazon section etc… similarly no warranty deals section which will have it’s own fpd…
this way it will be win win situation for both kind of buyers who are willing to take the risk n who are not willing to
No from my side.. there may be no warranty deals section… But without manufacturers warranty chances to be cheated are much higher than looting…
Yea great deals should be promoted web without warranty but title should highlight the fact about warranty and seller rating. I got Rx 480 from Amazon. Com tho I know I won’t get warranty cause it was 11k when compared to the 20k price in Indian sellers .
So overall what i could make out so far is as follow
we should pick deals site to site and no general rule should be followed, depending upon type of deal/discount it should be promoted. (which is a lil difficult to maintain)
we can promote deals from reputed sellers with no manufacturer warranty mention on product page
most of you said no to seller warranty product deals
deals from International site :- not much inputs yet.
All such deals can be promoted but with a big disclaimer about its warranty and leave rest for dimers to decide.
do add up more inputs from your end.
I had initiated a similar discussion more than a year back. I think every deal should be marked as Manufacturers warranty or no warranty
NO way.. any deal without manufacturer warranty is as good as buying GUCCI from Janpath…No surely of product not being a counterfeit one plus promoting something which can be counted as illegal since it must have surely evaded GOVT TAXES…
Yes Deal With Seller Warranty Is Good
