How do banks understand complex cashback terms from travel sites?
ICICI in partnership with MakeMyTrip provides the following cashback offer
Transaction amount (Rs) Non-EMI cashback (Rs)
₹5000 – 7500 ₹800
₹7500 – 15,000 ₹1000
₹15,000 and above ₹1500

Which is applicable only on Mondays in a specified duration and only for Domestic Flights
I would like to know how does ICICI know that the transaction i had done in MMT is that of domestic flights and not international flight or something else?

Generally cashback is processed by MMT, MMT sends details of eligible transaction to bank and then bank processed cashback.

@nihaln Cashback is not instant and you need to apply the coupon for the cashback. Coupon for domestic flight won’t work for international. MMT would process the cashback only if you are eligible.
