Amazon is forcefully trying to give me an order which I cancelled 5 days ago!

I cancelled that order after 1 hour of placing it since I immediately found out that the 3rd seller (delivered by amazon) had listed the price wrong and charged more than mrp.

And despite placing direct cancellation request with cc and the cc lady confirming it… the other cc ppl are contacting and give vague reasons and are not refunding my money.
I cancelled the damn order before it was dispatched by seller from Chennai and the cursed thing is now already reaching the final delivery station in Guwahati!
I cannot believe this is happening… this is the 1st time cc ppl are not listening! Their stubbornness is hellish.
Please help! 😣

Hmm. That would work? will i still get the refund ? I’m kinda afraid that they might say item is lost bla bla never reached seller and now no refund excuse.

Simply reject the parcel when it reaches to you.

It appears that you’re new to online shopping or order cancelling. it’s your money, your wish and ytour interest. No one has rights to compel you to buy things that you dont want anymore. When they call you, tell them you have cancelled your order. they aren’t those sales persons who used to urge you to buy, they are just a medium to deliver items.

Other than rejecting order you can also try to complaint in twitter handle . I experienced that call center and chat care staff are poor in knowledge while you will get email reply by complaiting tweeter handle and they are good enough .

Sometimes Amazon does this for the Lightening Deal items. Simply refuse at doorstep saying person has moved to another city

Most of the times it works but there are some exceptional cases like this one ( Delivered by Amazon means third party ) and I guess here in this case that third party seller didn’t accept your cancellation request

Agreed to this point.

Sellers play this trick in response to the PE loot. This has happened to a few more people too. If not FULFILLED by Amazon, then the headache of cancellation and refund is there for any products now a days, whether PE or regular.

If you successfully requested the stop and return and they (CC) successfully updated ATSPL with the ‘stop and return’ request,
then your order ‘tracking log’ would clearly show that ‘refused by customer at ____’ (town/city of delivery).

If this be the case and you do see the tracking log, then simply ask them to confirm this on e-mail or chat.
on e-mail you can ask Amazon to send the complete tracking log including the order id, date of order, seller name, logistics firm name and tracking#

even then, stupid/human as they are, the shipment might still be advanced out of the origin station/ city.
but you’d still get the refund once the barcode is scanned back at seller warehouse or Amazon FC (Fulfilment Centre)

for eg.: THIS clyp.it/h5xjzmwx is from today. (It is ATSPL’s helpline.. for delivery agents and station. 1800-3000-XXXX).

If yours is an old account or have prime or similar subscriptions, then you can even speak with some L3/L4 position (escalations) and they might in rare cases (if they get the option in their tool), authorise your refund prior to it reaching back (getting scanned) at the seller warehouse.

technically what you say @getready is very much plausible.
however, when they (sellers) use (forced by Amazon to use) ‘EasyShip’ option, then consignee (buyers) has direct rights (of refusal) which can be placed to the carrier (shipping partner).
now obviously, these rascals do not even publish the real numbers of Nodal officer for stuff like Amazon Money/wallet (as dictated by Central Bank), thus unlikely that ATSPL can be directly instructed.
but 180030009014 used to (once upon a time) take requests after usual call authentication.
now 180030009014 has changed to 1800-3000-XXXX https://www.desidime.com/forums/dost-and-dimes/... (asking any vendor‘s boy or maybe ATS delivery boy should get one the new number).

@deb3l ’EasyShip’ and ‘FBA’ (Fuc kedup By Amazon) are practically same. it’s just that in FBA orders (or so it was before the new Ambani law came this month) the sellers do not even care if one threatened or informed that they’d get negative rating (one sensible entrepreneur once told my colleague, it was con-call with four of us, that for all practical purposes Amazon has ‘purchased’ it from us/vendor at the time of stocking).
This means, they sellers really aren’t in control after despatch till delivery/ refusal.

Actually I’ve started my online shopping days since 2013.. also cancelled items 2 times till now and easily got refund by 3 days. This is the 1st time I’m having so much trouble and faced such rude behaviour from amazon cc ppl.
I complained to a higher staff, he told me to wait till tomorrow to clear this mess.

I’m panicking a bit cuz one of the cc ppl told that this was abnormal and after getting a clear cancelled notice, she was comfused as to why the order is still going on as usual and that i won’t get refund if the item doesn’t reach seller with whatever causes.

Most of cc executives are clueless.
Just reject the delivery when it’s " out for delivery ".
Then email or msg them on chat regarding the refund or wait for it to get to their fulfilment center or warehouse.
Once back in transit to the source your refund should be issued.

well that does seem to be valid enough reason.
However, i’d still insist to take those kids lightly. yes, now Amazon, even in IN-SNR (India Search ‘nd Rescue) aka escalations and for IN-Retail (Primary) employ teenagers, besides outsourcing hiring.

not joking, just search for ’VCS Amazon Rajasthan’ on your fav. search engine.
They’ve work from home (Virtual Cust Support) positions in which even 12th pass/fail http://archive.is/zWirD will be put on the job!

even if ATSPL looses the package, ASSPL will reimburse both you (buyer) and the seller.

ignore that silly boy/girl (or man/lady) who gave such scary thoughts.


better communicate in writing, ask them to send you the tracking logs.

if you find that even 10-12 hours after the ‘stop/reject’ request being taken, the cargo was further connected, as was/is the case in clyp.it/h5xjzmwx (shared above).
Then simply mail the jago grahak/ consumer helpline and put cs-reply in CC and mention that you are complaining against Amazon CSD and ADCPL about ‘deficiency in service’ and ‘wilful neglect’.
That should help you get refund faster (if needed, even before the damn cargo reaches back).

also, whoever misguided you, would get a CCR (Coaching Review/ scolding) if you hit the ‘No’ button on their HMD link (Howz My Drive/ Survey link) within 7 days of you getting it (after chat, it only comes if you hit the ‘end chat’)

say, CSA ABCD sent you the post call SMS or e-mail with the yes no link, then it might look like this >>

but Poona/Pune In-SNR people have students, kacha nimbu working till 00:00/ midnight and senior/ older escalations people in Poona offices of Amazon’s CSD work till 0200 hours (2 am).

after 0200-0215 at night the SNR calls go to HYD11/ HYD20 (Hyderabad). although HYD11 are amongst the oldest/ seniormost teams in IN-SNR (escalations), some of them are incompetent pricks and arrogant too.
some of them are real gems too and some are hassled students or working parents forced to do night shifts too.
so it is no guarantee that HYD11 will always yield faster/ better results than PNQ10 (Pune).

If you’ve an old account and have prime, then even normal calls to 180030009009 for more than 6-7 times in 15-20 hours might auto route to IN-SNR (India Serach ’nd Rescue) aka escalations.

if the retail team person who misguided you is from Gujarat (Bharuch or Amdavad) or Orissa then forgive them. most of them are students trying to stand on their feet. even escalations Hyderabad has had stuudents doing graduation/PG during day and night shifts at call centres to support family/self.

Lord Jeffereshwara saves on office space/costs, perks/ food allowances or paying for routematic.com transportation.

clueless or not, but having a few work from home staff on busy weekends/ sale days in mofussil towns (Jaipur, Bhopal, Indore, Coimbatore, Vizag, what have you) or opening new centres (Bhubhaneshwar, Kolkatta, Gujarat) or having main sites (like Delhi, Pune, HYD, Mysuru, Bengaluru) getting manned by 10+2 till Engineers, U.S. of A return Hotel Management grads, MBAs looking for cushy safe job) .. all makes for good business strategy.
They pay for L3/L4 (even L2) level is such that the work culture and pay can only be matched (if at all) by the likes of Facebook, Google.. thus even if working in high pressure, abusive jobs.. (where even personal breaks.. toilet breaks, namaaz or prayer breaks.. are ‘counted’ in minutes).. or if they can’t sleep as they’ve a family/kids or day college.. still people stick/ stagnate in such jobs for years.
