flashing other roms will void ur warranty + no ota updates ..

and for flashing rom.. put the zip file u downloaded to ur sdcard (external preferred) and in recovery choose the option Install zip from sd … and choose the zip

I hv one Micromax Canvas a1. It’s not starting. When i keep it on charging (switched off) the screen flashes and nothing else. When i press volume up + power button sometimes it shows me different modes and when i select any option and press ok it again switches off. Any solution? Issue with battery or software?

same issue with my spice dream uno.. never bothered to find a solution cuz the phone h/w is not in good condition..

Yes, it was sitting idle. I thought of exchanging it on Flipkart etc but for that it should switch on

Download Stock ota update and flash via stock recovery
Note : All OTA updated wont work, you got to find the right one depending on the last rom version you’ve used

You should try the 2nd step from the below link. Before trying Bootloader unlocking, flashing custom recovery, flashing custom rom & root. Between to unlock bootloader you should had the developer options / USB debugging enabled (that you are unsure). Otherwise it will not work.

Factory resetting will wipe all the userdata + user installed apps, so be prepared to install everything again or sync it from google account …

Three possibilities
1 . Battery Issue
2. Mother Board issue
3 . Loose connections

Fine, you had already tried factory resetting from the recovery. It wasn’t not successful

Try flashing stock rom using sp flash tool, you will get pure untouched vanilla stock andriod again that will receive ota updates aswell. Between andriod one phone won’t get nougat officially, Marshmallow is the last major update for it

Great to see so many dimers replying on the thread in a short time. I don’t know whether the device popularity has to do something with this.
BTW I searched xda before posting here and hit many dead end. A guy posted a thread there few months back and I was the first one to reply on the thread today stating that I am facing similar problem. I even contacted that guy on whatsapp as he had left his mobile no. in a different post but he replied that his mobile was flashed by a local shop as he was unable to find a solution.

Already tried that before posting here, check original post. Few days back, I uninstalled the stock launcher which lead to similar problem and then the issue was solved using this method only. Unfortunately it is not working today.
As the data is already lost so I am looking for original ota enabled rom to flash through sd card.

Update – Tried to update rom via sd card. It says-
Finding update package…
Opening update package…
Verifying update package…….
(Stuck for 10 mins). I removed battery to terminate.
Rom I tried –

2. http://d-h.s...rD

Same error with both roms
