Any tips and Solution for forgetfullness

I am learning a new foreign language, while others in my class are excelling , i am falling behind because of my memory. I feel guilty about it, any tips and solution for this issue. I know the concepts and stuff, but forget the vocabulary, words meaning, etc. any practical solution ?

Practice, practice and practice.
I am in kind of a similar fix, trying to get back to coding after a gap of close to 10 years now. When I learn the concepts I make sure to implement the code and try it out for myself, even if it is something as simple as printing a statement on screen. Practicing makes it easy to recollect when needed.
Ensure that you dedicate some time every day only for practice and ensure that you keep practicing something new each day. Create a schedule and stick to it.
Coming back to my case, hoping that it might help you as well. There are multiple websites that gives you access to programming challenges in the language you choose. Just to not loose touch and to learn something new, I ensure I solve few challenges each day across each topic. Also, irrespective of me being able to solve a challenge by myself or not, I ensure to go through attached discussions for that question hoping to learn different efficient ways to solve the challenges. Try applying something similar to you learning a new language as well.
