Bank Managers | Query regarding Cheque book and Withdrawal Slip
Today I visited my SBI home branch and asked for withdrawal slip,
But the branch manager said, if I have cheque book, they wont provide me withdrawal slip.
Is there any rule like this??
If there is certain rule for this please share.

@no fpd yes you can only withdrawal through cheque only till 30th Dec that too capped 24K per week.
Well, his question wasn’t related to demonetization limits. Withdrawal slips are only for those accounts for which cheque books haven’t been issued, just like @no fpd ’s branch manager clarified to him.

few banks provide facility of instant cheques (limited units), across branches. Means, one can get fresh cheque just by visiting any of the branch and withdraw

had been to bank today… they were only giving 500 or 2000 rupees notes no small notes
hoga to denge na. hoarding of small notes is next difficulty one will face. mere pass 26 notes hain 100 ke main bilkul bhi nahi waste kar raha. kya pata kab kya kaam aa jaye. 
there’s no rule for not allowing withdrawal slip instead of a cheque. however withdrawal slips makes things lengthy and records maintaining difficult so generally bank doesn’t encourage it. every year a bank goes into audit and for that they have to keep record of withdrawal vouchers each verified by auditor. in case of a cheque just a cheque number would have served the purpose of auditing while in case of slip auditor will check cash register, daily transaction records and also the slip you used. so they are reluctant to help. upar se sbi, lunch ka time hai bhai, baad mein aana.
Yes, if you have cheque book, then no withdrawal slip can be used!
sbi wale aadhe khule gate pe tala lagawana aur pass-book ki lat kb chhodenge?

are the business people getting small notes to run the day to day transactions
Just used 2000 wala note in empty reastaurant, (bill 240),

2 weeks ago my wife asked to go to sale at some chamakti hui mall wali shop to buy a jacket. nice leather wali jacket was worth 1800, card diya to sale wala uncle totally refused saying aapka 2 taka kat jayega aur card se discount nahi milega. total 2300 ka padega. majbooran chhod ke ana pada kyonki us wakt parchun ki parchi wale pink gandhi nahi aaye the. tabiyat bhi kharab hui wo alag. ab koi bolta hai ki cashless ho jao to jee karta hai kaan ke neeche ek lagaun ki ghanta tumhare pappa bharenge service charge aur bina bill wala discount.
last friday ek kabristan ke sbi atm (not joking) se nakli-numa asli pink gandhi dekhe pehli baar, kismat se uske badle reliance fresh ne 1700 wapas kiya aata lene par, 900 dawai wale ne purane 1000 ke badle de diye. tab se 2600 kacche ki pocket mein chupaye fir riya hoon bhiya imaan se kahin kisi daaku lutere ki nazar na lag jaye.
