Becareful | Ticket Booked Through Third Pary App/Portals
When we book tickets through third party app/portal; there are much complications when we have to alter/cancel those tickets
Hence this thread is created just to keep posted about your recent experience, so that anyone facing any such problem can get some inputs from here….
Refund against ticket cancellation always depends upon – timings when you cancel a ticket. Since, there 3rd party apps have just started booking rail tickets, there are few issues also…
If you are booking rail tickets through yatra app; and need to cancel those tickets. IRCTC site will not allow you to cancel.

Even in case when we book flight tickets, if tickets are booked through 3rd party. I think, airlines people ask customer to contact agent/portal for any alteration…. Hope I am not wrong on this.. I faced this kind of concern few months back…

Yes, you’ve to cancel through same mode through which the ticket was booked. Else you can try this :go to counter, in station request him for cancellation & provide your ticket, he’ll mark on ticket & sign. Then you can collect amount after deductions(never tried this but heard from many people).
