Car Insurance Renewal - Suggestions welcome

Name of Car Company, Model and Year?? So that anybody having similar Car may suggest.

I renewed my car insurance just yesterday and opted for Reliance General Insurance.

I was looking only at reputed companies hoping that the claim process will be more streamlined so considered ICICI Lombard (previous insurance), HDFC Ergo, Reliance, etc..

I just compared the price of all of these and finally opted for Reliance as they provided the most competitive price quote for a nil dip insurance plan.

PS: Starting April 1st some third party insurance charge is increasing so I made the payment yesterday to avoid those charges.

Ok, in case of Maruti approach your dealer, and ask for “Cashless Insurance”. Maruti has a tie-up with some 6-7 leading insurance companies and with them they get you the same Insurance (which are available otherwise in the market), Plus a cashless repair facility…

Cashless means: If you take your car for service to claim insurance, and the cost of repairs is lets say Rs 23000 (with 20000 covered by insurance), then to get your car repaired you will have to pay just Rs 3000 for rest 20,000 Maruti will deal with your insurer.

Also, among the available Insurance Providers you may chose the most customer Friendly ones (reasonable ones)… I personally prefers Any State Insurance company over Private insurers like ICICI lombard coz I feel that rejection rates are high in privately owned companies.
