Was that a third party product that you bought on PayTmMall? It could be that seller leaked your number and purchase details?

next time when you receive call from such number ask them for GST Invoice before making the payment or ask them to give there GST number if they are having some real company

I got the exact same message but instead of Paytm mall they somehow knew about my purchase from Voonik.

I have received exactly same calls for my purchases from Amazon Prime sales & Flipkart purchase of Asus Zenfone Max Pro. I have registered complaints with customer care. According to Flipkart, my details were leaked by courier company.

Received a similar call from minishopie.com and he said that you have won a car. Asked me to open their website, without opening the site gave him a few bad words told him that they are running some sex racket there 🤣 . Wasted his 15 – 20 min. Mobile number 8929940325

Yes, I had the exact same experience. I had got the exact same message after I bought something from Paytm Mall but it asked Rs 8000 for registration charge. I got a phone call after 5 minutes telling me to submit the fees as soon as possible. I got skeptic so i told him I will call after some time – then I checked online if Paytm really had some contest for winning Tata Safari – Found none. Instead, I found this post which made me realise this is a scam (So, thank you for this post). I checked the number on Trucaller and found the name ‘Online’ and location as Bihar. I tried calling it again but the number was switched off.

I think these scammers have contacts inside paytm or at delivery and courier services. That is how they get our phone numbers and know we bought something.

I think courier guys are the main culprits who are selling our details. Everytime I am getting fake paytm call with my order detais. Today again they called me and asked rs. 4000 as registration fees. After I confronted them they abused me. Their mob number is 8896994921 , I have registered a complaint for this number with cyber crime mumbai dept.

We are educated so we know about such scams, but there are many Indians who don’t have any idea about scams and fall prey to this scammers.

We all dimers should take some action and collectively make a complaint against such scammers to teach them a lesson. Please dimers lets make a group for such scammers.

today dated 12-Sep i received call from 8896994921 (true caller reflects Paytm Onine shopping Mall) and they requested (shreya singh- fake name ) to buy any product from Paytm Mall online min worth of 4000 and they will ship what ever you select from 5 prize, LG fridge, Dell Laptop, Sony 43inch Smart tv, Apple 8 and voltas AC 2 ton.
recently i bought Gillette razor and they siad exact product with date and given me some time to add product said worth and will call back.
I thought , might be its correct as details given correct so thought to go ahead as they requested to buy over paytm link.
if its hoax also, i will get the product so waited for their call, infact given call back them too that I am ready , whats the next procedure..
after some around 4-5 hrs, i got cal back and she requested to add money in Paytm or pay thru debit card or credit card and further senior will call how to proceed further..
….
just for info, my paytm registered no is diff and what no they have called me is given to courier personas that no temp not working with some reason

I have really winning my mobile sms paytm

Its fake they get your details from the packet which is getting delivered and then they ask you to give details and say to pay from upi or transfer them the money
Its a fraud

its a year old scam, just try to waste their time by asking useless questions, so that they get frustrated and can’t cheat others. but be aware once they know you are wasting their time they might use abusive language.

Today I get this message from IM-PAYTM:- “Dear Customer Congratulations
You are product order Paytm mall company .
Your name to open the luky draw (TATA SAFARI CAR) cost RS=1260000
The charge of your REGISTRATION Service payment.
This is valid for one day.
contact customer care 07050776227”

I received a call from 9117537645.The caller said he was calling from paytmmall and as i had purchased from there my
name was included in a lucky draw and I had won a tata XUV and was given 2 options

1. To get the car delivered to my home after paying 12500 as some charges or
2. Get Rs 1300000 in my bank account by paying 6500 as processing charges

I played along and opted for the 2nd option and told him that i did not have so much money in my paytm and
asked him to share his bank account details with me so as to transfer the money.
He agreed to message me the details and said he would call in me 5-10 minutes after the transfer was done.

He sent me an sms with the following details

Name : Barku rama
A/c no : 38603833415
IFSC code : SBIN0015251

I was planning to take the conversation over to the next day for me and my colleagues to have some more fun
I received 5 calls from him after about half hour but was unable to take his calls as i got busy in a meeting.
He did not call after that.

I too got the call from a number who told me that i m the first winner of paytm mall lucky draw, and win a prize of tata safari or cash 12.50lakh. i know it’s a fake call but the maine point is how they came to know that i have something from paytm mall aweek ago?? Do fix this paytm, otherwise u will lose many of ur customers

I won a Tata XUV worth 14,50,000 and now have 2 options:
1. I could get the car.
2. I could get the cash transferred to the bank account after I send him my account number, name and IFSC.

This will be the last time I purchase anything from Paytm Mall. Weird that someone is able to access my contact details that I shared with them.
