Integer System. Right?

Interger System. Right?

Nope, they will divide your transaction value with the base unit of their reward system, multiply them with the base reward point and roundup the value to the nearest integer.
E.g. transaction of ₹98/- will give roundup(98/50*1)=2 RP in Amex.

As opposed to calculation with HDFC and SBI where they will rounddown the transaction value divided by base unit and then multiply the base reward point.
E.g. transaction of ₹98/- will give rounddown(98/150)*1=0 RP in HDFC.

He stated right facts

HDFC will generate integer factor by dividing spends value and then multiple reward denominator

So 290 spends on HDFC will be counted as 1 factor and only 1/2/5 points

Same spends on SCB will get 290×2/150 or 290×3/150 or 290×5/150 rounded down

yes i can confirm about Amex. They follow exactly how @pointshunter explained.
And it is easier to see this since they show exact breakup of points received on their portal.

For example : 149 Rs transaction will give you 3 RP with Amex (50Rs =1 RP) but with HDFC no points for this since min spend amount for getting RP is 150.

on the other hand, ICICI Amazonpay uses rounding of RP in the real sense. eg. transaction of 120 on amazon for prime member (5% CB slab) will give 6 rs in amazon pay credits.

Don’t have BoB. Never bought anything on EMI on IndusInd or HDFC. Citi doesn’t offer points on EMI

Indusind gives fractional points rounded off to the nearest whole point. Similar to Amex.

They are awesome.

I had Amazon pay transactions worth 5 Rs and 10 Rs (Wallet Loading)

On 5 Rs transaction, I didn’t receive anything. On 10 Rs Transaction, I received 1 Rs reward.

Then, if we do 10 transactions of Rs.10 each, we get 10% cashback flushed

I have query:

I buy an item costing 10k in amazon on EMI (with interest for 36 months) using CC.

1)Will I get RPs for the purchase of 10k?
2)When will the EMI interest starts ? Is it after free credit days? (Ex: Buy a product on 15th of the month and the bill generation date is 20th of the month and the due date is 10th of next month. Will the EMI interest is calculated from 15th Or 20th Or 10th ?)

1. Depends of which credit card you use. some cc do not provide RP on EMI spends like hdfc and amazon pay ICICI card. so you need to check tnc of your card.
Btw, i dont think amazon offers a 36 month EMI option , the max is 24 months.

2. The interest starts from the date of purchase(15th in this case) and when bill is generated (on 20th) the first installment is little higher due to the initial interest amount (15th-20th interest). from second installment it is the usual interest rate and so usual installment amount.
In any case, the total amount that you need to pay will be shown on amazon payment page when you select the EMI option and duration.

Then it is a loss to the buyer. He is loosing the credit free days and reward points. Instead, he can take personal loan or loan on cc just before the cc due date and pay off the cc bill.
