Bogus pass system!
There is zero coordination between states (What are these so called Nodal officers doing?)
If they can’t implement something effectively why even start it in the first place?
Now Few states have got like Lakhs of inter-state pass requests and the respective administrations couldn’t fulfill at least 10% of them. (God knows ..how many days/weeks they gonna take to even give an update on these online applications)
Even those initial requests (made on May 2nd) are still pending approval while many already past the travel date deadline
Even if you get a pass from one state to another state..the “To” state officials will stop you at the Inter-state border without the “to” pass from their state administration
And those “Travel to” requests from people residing in Red Zones are getting rejected without any reason (Zero hope for stranded people in places like mumbai, pune except the state approved BUS travel which is again very limited and very unrealistic via online ePass system)
Its complete chaos at interstate borders. States are interpreting MHA’s notification in their own way. Notification issued on 30th April clearly states that a person who is wanting to travel interstate needs approval from origin state and destination state. No seperate approvals are required from states the person is passing through to reach his final destination. Someone needs to remind some states that they are a part of India.
My father is stuck in Maharashtra . I thought about driving to Maharashtra from Kerala and bringing him back but thinking about the hassles involved, i decided agaist it. Already everyone is stressed due to Corona. Whats the point in getting stressed further by dealing with authorities at every check post.
Govt should have simply done away with all the pass requirements. They could have screened/tested passenger at interstate border and let them through. But knowning our bureaucracy, why will they let go of an opportunity to harass the citizens.
Should we still apply for pass. My family has to travel from hyderabad to vijayawada on 31 May
