Full or else you can take a chance by not carrying the age proof.. My friend did it when his son was 26 months old and explained at counter that he forgot the age proof.. 
Disclaimer: there is a risk, if they don’t agree, you might have to shell out extra, maybe full adult ticket

u can give it a try..most of airlines/security staff do not check birth certificate
