Anyone else faced this ? all the balance in freecharge wallet got utilized by some unauthorized transaction at payubiz on 28 feb ? Now freecharge support says it can’t help

The message seems to be authorised. Because, there is an offer running on payumoney by paying through freecharge. If your freecharge account is logged into a browser somewhere it could be easy to use your account there on the offer. So all you have to do is, check for the transaction id ,payment id and the merchant details in your email which is linked to your freecharge account. With those details you can enquire with the payubiz.

As per our internal investigation, the reported transaction (order ID: 6KYPoZOzAMNjc7_6793642435_1WPIN1) has been processed successfully at our end. This transaction has been processed towards the merchant PayU Biz, after successful authentication by providing your email/mobile number and password. Amount which was utilized, cannot be reversed /cancelled as the said transaction was successful.

There are chances, that you might have recently downloaded or used unauthorized/suspicious mobile application/website on the computer/mobile phone and used similar login credentials of Freecharge for these unauthorized/suspicious mobile application/websites. We request you to kindly refrain from such activity since this may lead to unauthorized access to your Freecharge account.

Also, we request you to refrain from sharing your confidential details like card number, card expiry date, CVV, one time password (OTP), Mpin, password with anyone when you receive any unsolicited calls, SMS or email seeking these details. This could lead to fraud as Freecharge will never ask for these details.

Your understanding in this matter is highly appreciated.

Freecharge won’t be able to help you. You have PayU biz id – write to them. Citing fraud, you’ll have to make them share details of merchant – zaggle etc. Then follow up with merchant with all details. Mail and call both If it’s Zaggle, you can cancel the order. And money will be reversed into your freecharge account. Dont forget to change your freecharge password into a strong one. ATB

My balance also gone and when i asked who did this they say you only shared otp and now we cant reverse the transaction. I am not even able to login into my account. @admin please bann frecharge, its looting people like reliance used to do.

Yes, what else is a fraud transaction , it seems authorized to the provider but is not really authorized

I got to know many more people impacted, this scam could have been in hundreds of users

I have also faced same issue for 150 Rs trans to same Gamer merchant.I have dropped mail to the Freecharge and payu team immediately and they are investigating on that.Lets see what they will reply.
