I recenlty applied for regalia first credit card.
The card was approved on last week of november
but the card was delivered yesterday,

what is the billing cycle or first 3 months?
as per the LTF, i need to do 4 transaction 500+ for first 3 months but first month is already over. will be card still be eligible for LTF?

secondly, what is the terms and condition for LTF via smartpay.
will opt for this option if first one is not valid


I also have icici platinum chip card. Is the yearly fees 199, 99?
While applying they said no charges but the card come with paper mentioning above feees.
I am expecting to do less than 15k per year with this card.

I enquired with phonebanking, they are saying that txn needs to be done within billing cycles. So i guess you are good to go. But don’t take my word for it enquire with phonebanking prior to making any decision

Billing cycle is different from calendar month so no need to worry about billing cycle.
Usually HDFC billing in mid of month – 15th or 16th of the month but it may vary for you. Better call Customer care and ask for the billing date.

You will get an email confirming that your cc is now ltf. And if you want to know right now than you can just call phonebanking and ask them to check wether your cc is ltf or not.

There seems to be a lot of confusion about smartpay.
I got my card upgraded in August and 3 bills are already paid but my card is also not yet ltf.
Sometimes the phonebanking guy says the smartpay needs to be registered for atleast 90 days, sometime they say i need to pay total 3 bills, and the people at my home branch says i need to pay 6 bills total to make it ltf.
So i am not sure what actually works, so i have decided to register for smartpay for 6 months for dth recharge of ₹100, and whenever i will get ltf confirmation email i will deregister from smartpay.

My experience with hdfc is that the system is really crappy but in the end it always works.
So i think your card will get converted in ltf for sure don’t worry.

yes its fixed for everyone and can not be changed

in ICICI this i have changed as per my requirement so that this does not fall near other CC due dates

It’s not fixed. Different people can have different billing dates.
Mine is 16th for both Regalia and diners card. But HDFC usually follows this generic guideline of keeping billing date in the middle of month.

To make this card LTF, I have to do 4 trasactions worth 500 each in calender month or billing cycle? any idea?

What is HDFC CC customer care number? 18602660333? (Not free for Airtel sad )

I don’t have hdfc bank account. How can I check more details (Like unbilled transactions, statement, rewards etc.) of my cc? Is there any app or site just for card holder login without bank account?

congrats on your new card. you should confirm with customer care or at branch if this offer of 4 trx every month will make your card LTF, i think this is only for first time cardholders of hdfc.

and it is 4 trx in a billing month not calendar month so when you get your card , do 4 trx quickly if you don’t know the billing date just to be safe. When first bill is generated that would be first month of this , then you need to do this for next few months and after that you can get confirmation from CC that it is now LTF.

Another option is to setup smartpay using netbanking . you can set any postpaid bill, electricity bill, DTH etc. and keep it active for 4 month or 6 months to be safe.

Customer care no you mentioned is not toll free . Use this number 61606161 and use any std code like 088, 022 etc doesn’t matter if you stay in that city or not.
i usually use 02261606161.

Thanks for the detail reply. Just 1 more query – this 4 transactions of 500rs. Each, if i do add money in paytm through this card. Will they consider it?

Hdfc is not giving points for wallet load but what about this matter? Will they consider it or not?

yes any transaction is fine for this but you won’t get reward points on any wallet loading transactions.

this 500*4 is not available for everyone, better to go for smartpay since cc is also confirming that.
but you don’t need to do life insurance or anything else which cc is insisting on, they might want to sell you these.

DTH is fine for smartpay , just setup to recharge your DTH a/c with any amount over 100.
In fact i have set my home airtel digital tv recharge of 200 in smartpay.

auto recharge you mean?

I cannot see any billers in the biller section

Neither i can see any scheduled payments
I tried scheduling on 5th or later date but cannot do that
