Sorry for bumping a very old topic guys but wanted to share this update with all you fellow dimers.
What started off as a small initiative through our wedding had finally reached a stage where we can proudly say we have done something good to share some happiness with some little kids.
We spread the word through wedding cards and at our wedding venue that we will not accept any gifts in our wedding and if at all someone wants to contribute they can contribute some money that would be put to a good cause. Apart from that, me and my wife Divya would try to match or contribute best possible amount and put the entire money to some good use.
We identified Tapasvi Foundation in Chandanagar, Hyderabad. They have around 24 orphan kids at their foundation and through our random checks found them to be quite genuine in serving and taking care of the kids.
With the amount collected through our drive we donated cots, mattresses, bedsheets and pillow and pillow covers to all the 24 kids. We are super thankful to each and every family member, relative and friend for supporting this initiative.
The smile and happiness these kids had on their face speaks for itself.
