If you are planning for long term, then I would always suggest to go with brands like OGeneral, Hitachi, Bluestar

Bhai u r completely right but can’t afford those ACs. Few yrs. Back i bought onida ac, at that time onida ac were cheap but I didn’t face any problem in it since last 5-6 yrs.
I m looking for similar, cheap but durable & reliable.

If you are on budget, Ignore the star rating, focus on brand, star ratings are marketing gimmick and changes every year. Your 5 star aircon would became 2 star is 3 yrs as per BEE

So, instead of going for re-branded Indian brands like Electrolux, videocon, kenstar etc. Prefer better brands like LG, Blustar etc, I would suggest LG since their after sale service has been excellent …

For lg ac’s wait for diwali. You will soon get great offers at LG Shoppe. Avoid aluminium condenser ac’s in coastal areas. Al condenser ac’s have higher efficiency than cu one but are more prone to corrosion in coastal areas due to salt content in air.
