Well, my cousin bought clothes from Paytm.
When she found the clothes aren’t fitting well, she asked for a return.
But then they flagged her Paytm account citing abuse of their return policies.

She has been shopping even since Paytm was operating in the Shopping category.

They already have passed 15-20 days saying they have raised a ticket but no return request approved till date.

What to do in this case?

The customer support team is saying they can’t do much except raising a ticket as the abuse team has flagged her account confused

Either he abused or he should know paytm isnt good to do daily shoping.. amazon flipkart mar gaye kya jo paytm se kapde mangana pade.. they are hood only in paytm karo not shoping.. xd..

No abuse except returning the items that did not match quality or size, mostly clothes from her account.

Before flaging any acc.. they must check acc who gave them returns instead loss.. generally each return is loss for them.. so  seller profit should ne higher than his loss on acc.. else why they keep that acc.. dosnt matter you returned for real reason.. they are doing business.
If they find loss even in genuine issue.. they wont entertain you..

Why they are operating the business then?
Clothes and related products always have high returns for various reasons.

One seller shipped 15000 orders in a single year and 4000 orders were returned under clothing category.
This is quite normal for this category.

They dont check acc manually.. system decide i think.. still i never trust paytm for shopping.. but diffrent person have diffrent thought.. some may go on shopeclue also.. only paytm can solve ur issue.. try contact on twitter and talk in punlic even they say dm..btw i am alreddy fanted with amazon also .. we should accept this is like that.. we have survive with fraud and untrust platform if we want we can go to shop..but we avoid for so many reasons. Kapde to main nahi leta jydra site se.. leta bhi hu to ye mankar chaltabhu ye bakwas hi hoga .. jobdikhta hai wo hota nahi..xd

I have once ordered a fashion product from paytm years ago (probably in their earlier days) and the experience of return/ replacement was pathetic. Then it came down heavily to accessories etc.. shoes.. home decors and finally I had to end ties with them in the worst possible ways. Now I am not ready to experience those nightmares again. Really missed those 70-80% cb days.. Even skipped the recent grocery loots for the same reasons. relieved

Customer service should always be first priority than business volumes targets for a longer stay.. IMO.

They have the same standard reply.

Your cousin learned a good lesson here. Costly but people don’t usually learn such lessons for free.

Paytm is killing their own business, she used to order products from Brands having high-profit margins. Still, they flagged her account.

Paytm won’t be able to survive the next 2-3 years if they continue this attitude.

Paytm Mall wont survive, it is the step child of paytm now as most stakeholders have advised them to cut company’s spends on the mall business.
