Avoid buying
add prime to cart
goto payment page
cancel payment
now buy the item and there will not be any shipping charge (until you get mail abt prime cancellation after a day)
after 2 days :- Your amazon acc has been blocked
Always buy 499+
Add AF books
Depends.
Pervert way: Order a filler with your product, prefer clothing just to make the cart above 499. After placing the order call customer care if you can’t cancel this filler from the order page and voila you just saved shipping.
Ideal way: Go with Prime, you are gonna love it. I am saying this after seeing prime only deals with this festival season.
Hope it helps you decide @krishna.maverick942

Then gather friends and share the cost of prime One account for all !!
for sharing purposes, prime is actually at a steal price here in India. In US it costs 100$ for a year. But they do get some additional services for paying that amount.
Some dimers say that Amazon will block prime membership account if it is shared. It is just an assumption and has no base. I activated prime membership on 3 accounts during trial offer on different dates and has prime trial still left on 1 of those accounts. One account was used to place order with different delivery address but it was never banned.
Buying prime account as shared is a great idea as it reduces cost significantly.

You will know when the time is right. These are all experiences from amazon.com and here in India they are just ignoring multiple account/policy misuse because if they start doing it almost all dimers accounts will be banned. At some point in time most of us have used multiple accounts to get GC and other benefits. But as the system matures we should get cautious before they set us right. Prime is not a service to be shared with mutliples, and they might just allow a couple of household addresses (In US they used to allow 4 friends/family addresses and they stopped it now I guess)
@ranjithsai01 wrote:Even if I accept you that in US they first allowed users to add 4 address but now they are denying so, you see that system takes some time to grow and such steps are not taken in one go.

Here they are allowing multiple addresses at present and even if they would like to change the policy they will do so in steps. You will get sufficient time to move out without facing any loss. I think prime membership can be cancelled with refund in case of policy change.
Yes, I will get to know before the time is right.
BTW, 450÷4 is a nice option.

Actually to ban accounts and notify of policy misuse they don’t do in steps. It depends on their account review team and they would do it without even giving a whiff of it. They time it when we have sizable amount of GCs added and which point in time it becomes the property of amazon (at least here in India I heard they give 1 week time to use our GC). But with the huge shipping benefits accruing even a single person prime works very well as we can see more FMCG products at good discounts and in most cases we need to order immediately. So there would be multiple such orders which would save a lot and I would be concerned even about the lightning deals.
