Step-by-Step Addition of Mobile Number in Aadhaar Card
The first step to adding your registered mobile number in your Aadhaar Card is to visit the Aadhaar Card website and download the correction application form and get a print out of the same. You are required to provide a few details as requested by the form, including your name, gender, date of birth, address, mobile number and email address. At the top of the form you will find a ‘Field for Update / Correction’ in which you must tick ‘Mobile’, following which you must enter your Aadhaar number in the space provided.

In the section that requests for your mobile number, enter your registered mobile number that you wish to link to your Aadhaar Card . It is recommended that you also attach a photocopy of an ID document and ensure that your Aadhaar number is mentioned in said document/s. Once you have entered the necessary details, you will have to sign the form or provide a thumbprint after which you may send the application through post at the address provided below.

Address 1: Box No.10, Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh – 480001.

Address 2: UIDAI Post Box No.99, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad – 500034.

Once the form has been sent, you will have to wait for a few days as the authorities will take some time to cross verify your identity. Once they have carried out the necessary verification procedures, you will receive a confirmation message that your registered mobile number has been successfully linked with your Aadhaar Card.

Guys… this is completely incorrect information. There is no way, you can get the mobile number updated via adhaar correction form. The only way to get the mobile number added/updated is by visiting center as it requires your finger impression for the update.

Source: Tried all the options recently when I needed to update mobile number for my sister (currently outside India). Alas, nothing worked..

Stupid question really. Cause he didn’t manage anything, it was managed for him by others. I still remember that afternoon we went to the local booth to have our photos taken for Aadhaar, it was a new thing, how could we know what information are needed? I don’t remember those dumb fucking guys asking for any mobile no., or maybe they did, but still our Aadhaar cards are without any mobile no. too, fucking stupid thing. Now who has the time to go to them centres and update all these nonsense? First you bring along something idiotic like Aadhaar, then the idea of executing it properly is a failure and now they want us to waste time to visit their fucking centres or whatever.

Can’t wait to leave this bloody nation.

Now see how many dimwits get raged by this…

PS: On that note, as it has to be done anyway, updating the mobile no. with Aadhaar, can’t it be done by sending that form I downloaded to that address, the Aadhaar data coorection/update form?
