I have a 16gb sandisk sd card (class 4 )which i bought through amazon an year ago . Now it has stopped working .always on inserting in different mobile phones or pc sd caed adapters it shows "Damaged Sd card " i tried formatting several times but nothing happened.i have an amazon bill for the 5 year warranty.Please help me how to get the “RMA” number

If someone knows how to get a “replacement” for a sd card please help me ,many others may be facing issues like this.Your help will be appreciated .

To make a warranty claim please contact SanDisk at the telephone number in the table or [email protected] within the Warranty Period and provide proof of purchase (showing date and place of purchase and name of the reseller) and product name, type and number.

Just call them on their toll free number
And explain from u purchased and also state that itsin warranty…
Then they will tell u send the damaged sd card on their addresses (they will ask ur email n send the address)

After they receive the damaged sd card, they will issue a fresh sd card to u.

don’t worry brother. just call cc and tell them its now working. they will generate RMA Number for u. pack it and send it to address given in sandisk email. no need to send any bill or package. just remember one thing, sent it only via indian post. other courier can’t deliver to sandisk as their office is outside from city. so use indian post only. they will send brand new card seal packed within one month. 90% chance they will ship it via FedEx.

If u are from delhi visit Nehru place..they will replace it hand to hand..

If your in Mumbai they have their office at Lamington Road. Create rma and get replaced. I think they do it on the spot replacement but confirm with cc once

if sandisk service center is in ur city, they will replace instantly.

Thanks again for calling SanDisk Global Customer care. It is our goal to make sure you have all the resources you need to get the most from your product.

 

Please follow these steps to format the card using HP Tool application.
1. Please open your Internet browser and go tohttp://www.goog...om
2. In the google search please type “HP tool” and then please click on search.
3. Once the search results appear select the very first search result which says “HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool – v2.1.8 Download – EXTREME …”.
4. On the next page scroll down to the bottom and click on the option says “Primary download site”.
5. Please select the save option and then select the desktop as the destination folder.
6. Please save that utility on the computer’s desktop screen.
7. Double left click on the downloaded icon, select the correct device so that we may not accidentally format any other device, select the file system as “FAT 32”, check the box left to quick format and single left click on the “Start” button to start formatting.

NOTE: Formatting erases all the data saved in the card.

Somebody clear my doubt…

My sdcard also corrupted and not able to format. But i got some fear to replace it on warranty. :|
Because in my card i have personal files like photos, videos of my family.

Call 18001022055 then press 2-5-5 and you’ll be connected to customer care guy (call within 5:30 pm) and tell them your problem, he’ll guide you

Not what I had expected but my Sandisk 128GB microSD became read-only less than 8 months of use. I must have downloaded ~1TB but considering its a 128GB one endurance should have been much higher? At least the RMA experience so far has been smooth. Just had to send photos of of both sides of the card. Opted against couriering the card due to the long turnaround involved and chances of getting lost in transit. Will visit service centre for replacement day after tomorrow.

Mine too. Same duration, Samsung evo is read only now. 128gb. Unable to delete anything and worried about replacement.
Any idea on how to erase it with any other means?
Have all my photos and on it 😝

No way that I know of. If its sensitive data I would just take the loss on the chin and move on. Would look into encryption/password-protected zips in the future.
