hi guys,
as most of my family members having redmi mobiles (from redmi note 3 to latest redmi note 5 and, redmi 2 to redmi 5)

thing is, with jio once the call is connected a video call button is available (just above loud speaker) without data ON just clicking it as the request of video call to other user, once he click “ON” then both guys in video call.

No need of Data “ON”
Video quality is awesome + voice quality
No need of whatsapp or any third party application, so no lag in video call – this is a great boon to Grand father/grand mother, as using whatsapp is difficult to them, as data on, whatsapp open, video call

Both side users need to use miui based redmi mobiles (any mobiles, but redmi voLTE available mobiles)

but video calls to other redmi miui based mobiles working, but not to other mobiles like Lenova or motorola, not tred with samsung, any way to video call other mobiles ?
Thanks

offtopic:
redmi mobiles support voLTE with video call as few friends told me, others mobilex support only VoLTE

yep, i am using from day 1

*both need to be in jio
*both mobile is redmi/miui based.
*both need any one active subscription, as one mobile of our relative have no active subscription, so he was able to recive voice call from us, but video call not working due to no active subscription in his side

once both are in call just click “video call” above loud speaker, it show “switch to video call” On in receiver, once he click on, both in video call

Native video call in almost all the mobiles now. I have Samsung j7 pro.
My brothers Tenor also supports this.
You need jio sim nd native video call supporting mobile. Thats all.

Mostly cheap mobile selling companies like for example Tecno,Ivoomi,Mobistar mention it on the box describing it as an additional feature.

Are you sure on No Data? cause I was calling my mother when her 2 GB expired, the call used to get disconnected.

I use Duo for video call, whenever I’m in poor coverage area. Its a great alternate.
