1. can we pay via axis prepaid gc?
it is basically a Visa Debit Card, so should not be a problem.

2. can we pay via 2 cards/ i mean more than 1 txn?
No. Premium has to be paid in single txn.

3. can we pay via debit mastercard? (not seeing mastercard option on lic payment page. only visa debit is there)
Not sure. But Netbanking payment is possible

Are you sure about the credit card payment charges? Looks absurd to me.
Take a look here: http://www.licindia.in/altpay/alch8002_files/Co...

Convenience charges for payment on portal using debit card are Rs 12.00 plus service tax.
Convenience charges for payment on portal using credit card is Rs 18.00 plus service tax upto 5000 rupees and above 5000 it is Rs 35.00 plus service tax.
Service tax is 12 percent on convenience charge.Edu Cess is 3 percent on service tax.
Hence the total will be 18 + 2.16 + 0.06 = 20.22 for credit card and 12 + 1.44 +0.04 = 13.48 for debit card.
These charges are payable to issuing bank and not charged by LIC.
These charges are displayed on site and only after the consent and acceptance by customer payment can be proceeded further.

Yes, you are right. I use banks ‘Register and Pay’ option. The charge a nominal (20-30) for each transaction. A certain amount of that charge again comes back as cash back to my account plus you get the reward points. The only caveat is it takes 3-5 days to reflect on LIC site.
BTW, I hope you are also aware that LIC gives a month grace period for paying your yearly premiums. for instance my yearly premium date is Dec 24, however if needed I can pay this by Jan 24.
