Commercial and private establishments shall be closed down; exceptions:
1. Shops, including ration shops under PDS system, dealing with food, groceries, fruits and vegetables, dairy and milk booths, meat and fish, animal fodder.
2. Banks, insurance offices and ATMs
3. Print and electronic media
4. Telecommunication, internet services, broadcasting and cable services, and IT-enabled services (only for essential services).
5. Delivery of all essential goods including food, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, through E-Commerce.
6. Petrol pumps, LPG, petroleum and gas retail, and storage outlets
7. Power generation, transmission, and distribution units and services.
8. Capital and debt market services as notified by SEBI.
9. Cold storage and warehousing services
10. Private security services.

Recently it was in news that- Microsoft says a new Windows zero-day flaw is under attack.
With transport services stopped, how do you expect fresh stocks to come? The stores will run only as long as they have stocks, then shut down.
PDS shops will work, but then most city people dont even have a ration card.
The Great Man will personally come and deliver

Agricultural related shops should be open based on scheduled manner else huge loss is going to happen in agricultural field
agreed, but how can govt allow opening of these shops when there is a lockdown in force to prevent the spread of COVID 19
but poultry shops were shut down yesterday and sold the chickens/eggs at very cheap rate since bird feed comes from mumbai.
and other shops said supply is shut down, so are labs. I was waiting for a biopsy report and the lab called yesterday said it’ll be further delayed bcz of the situation.
So which is true?
banks are not working offline,delivery shortage and mostly not available.Though government is putting all possible efforts people are just running around making things difficult for others.

Are local stores like big bazaar, More, Dmart etc selling essential items permitted to remain open by govt ?

Wish Amazon Flipkart utilize their infrastructure and start pantry service pan India.
The government also says that there will be no disruption of essential services but as we can see they are not allowing delivery, transport services and delivery man of pantry,grofers and bigbasket even though all of them are exempted and come under essential services
This govt. has been disastrous in managing it’s own decisions. It is way better to allow home deliveries than people flooding next door kirana stores at the same hours.

Give govt some time. India is chaotic country where nothing works easily. Where US, Europe succumbed easily to corona India stands because our ‘shortcomings’ are also preventing spread of virus. Western societies work with mechanical precision.. very good when leader (brain) knows and understand the problem but disaster if it doesn’t . India works like ant colony , everyone is independent and it looks like chaos but in the end it works . Such thing can’t be brought down by invaders or viruses because this behavior has evolved out of thousands of years of evolution not by man made rules we see in West.
But the daily wagers, the labourers, they dont have time na. Thats the problem. The govt should have addressed their plight alongwith the lockdown. That also becomes a matter of emergency, just like this lockdown is a matter of emergency.

There are no rickshaws working in my area so need to carry groceries home on my own. They are giving tokens but glad not much crowd. Some shops are opening and closing when they hear about police coming. Nobody cares about the government.
It is same everywhere
No local transport except* that I have seen local buses operating for emergency services here in Bengaluru but those too rare
And regarding the temp closure/reopening of the shops, there’s not enough police force to keep a check everywhere. For what I have seen here , many shops are still selling stuff via second entrance
I feel the panic for the groceries is going to increase
Some told me potatoes are now Rs. 40-50 per kg. Is it true

Shops are overcharging but stock is there in every roadside shop. People are maintaining atleast some distance now in shops.
Went to Big Bazaar yesterday. It was not full of people and almost everything was in pre-lockdown prices only and no price gouging like local stores.
Bought groceries enough for almost 2 months.
Vegetables were sold out because I went at 4PM, but it would be stocked in mornings.
Went to med shop and bought 2 months worth of meds as well.
And one community people going to hit police in many areas in Karnataka and roaming around heavily all day. Idk what is wrong with those morons.
Stay in your homes everyone. Its not a big deal. Think how animals feel in zoos and cages, you’re far freer than them. Play carrom, chess, mobile games, kavade, etc. You can even play shuttle cock on your side roads with your own family you know have no corona. Read books. Learn to cook. Do chores. Fix the house. Do not bring the overworked system down with your lunacy.
