MyJio App of Mukesh Ambani is a Fraud?

I was sitting with my friend and he noticed that My Jio app is saving your PayTM details without your confirmation (which is a fraud).
Do a recharge on MyJio app and select PayTm as mode of payment, it will ask for mobile no and OTP to authorize the transaction. But if you again try to make a payment, then PayTM is already listed in approved payment list (will display your paytm balance).
This is like saving credit card details without customer consent.
I made payment using Paytm as if I do on all other websites and assume that I am authorizing only for this transaction (not for all future transactions).
Then I went to my Paytm account and found that MyJio app is listed there is approved merchants for auto-deduction of any transaction (which I obviously removed immediately)
This is a fraud and clear violation of RBI guidelines. Recently Airtel Payment Bank was fined for saving customer details without consent during adhaar verification.
Never expected this fraud and cheating by Mukesh Ambani
Did anybody else faced this issue?

This is how most PGs work..
How is this a fraud? They are not stealing/deducting wallet balance without your confirmation.
I think you haven’t used apps like swiggy, tapzo.
Thanks to learn before ! How Paytm 3rd party authorization works before you create a thread like diz
More over u are comparing aadhar guidelines with Paytm…It’s like comparing army with watchman….
Other apps take your authorization to save paytm details, it is clearly displayed when you first time link app with paytm account.
I have tried in Uber and they clearly say “link Uber wih Paytm”.
However in this case, it is one time payment for that particular transaction. They never mentioned about linking MyJio with Paytm.
Infact same is case with Grofers, it also do not link Grofers with Paytm (on paytm account, i never see grofers as authorized list of merchant).
However in MyJio app, it will show your Paytm balance (because they have linked MyJio with Paytm) without informing us. This is fraud
Ja be, jb ambani free de raha tih pura 1.5 years tb, jio jio krte they, ab jd charges dene pard rahe hain toh fruad bol raha hai usko, Fruad woh nai tu hai
You are not understanding the issue. Providing free service is separate thing.
But saving your card details or linking with your wallet without taking consent is a fraud.
Paytm bhi fraud h.. jio bhi fraud h .. ambani bhi fraud h.. aur hum doodh ke dhule …
Good morning
@worldindia2000 bro you are talking too sensible and technical for a crowd who gives a damn about privacy. Take this on twitter or reddit for some sensible response. Some general knowlegde for the ignorants: Be it grofers, swiggy, freshmenu or tapzo, they all either have a push button/checkbox to allow saving the details by default for future transactions (checked default) or have the same mentioned in their terms of sevice.
Don’t trust reliance or Ambani at any cost.
When You Receove An Otp Of Paytm While Doing Trangction With My Jio App. This Otp Is An Authorization Otp For Your Paytm Wallet
Sab moh maya hai…
Haan ji
Try with groffers or with uber…All do it….Don’t blame just Ambani just because he is Ambani…
